Colmes 'Agnostic' as to Whether Bush Brought Down WTC?

Are you like me? Have you assumed that Alan Colmes is an essentially harmless, if misguided, liberal? If so, we might all have to rethink things in light of his apparent statement on tonight's Hannity & Colmes that he is 'agnostic' as to who is responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Center.
H&C had wanted to have on as its guest University of Wisconsin instructor Kevin Barrett, who claims that the Bush administration orchestrated the 9/11 attacks and used controlled explosions to bring down the WTC towers.
Barrett is apparently laying low and declined to come on the show. But H&C managed to dig up a substitute conspiracy buff in the person of one Bob Bowman, member of the august Veterans for 9/11 Truth. Oh, and by the way, Bowman also happens to be . . . a Democratic candidate for congress from Florida's 15th District!
In any case, Bowman told Sean "I'm agnostic about these conspiracy theories," adding that Barrett's "conspiracy theory is far more believable than yours," and further: "I don't know who did it and neither do you."
Later, addressing himself to Bowman, Colmes said: "Bob, I'm Alan Colmes. I'm agnostic as well . . . As I understand it this theory while propounded in this class is not central to what he is teaching in this class. As a matter of fact, 400 pages are provided supporting the official government version and 75 pages supporting the alternative [crazy conspiracy] version that we are debating here."
Maybe in all the cross-fire I misread what Colmes was saying. But it sure sounds as if he is willing to entertain the possibilty that the Bush administration might have been responsible for the destruction of the WTC. If that's true, he has written himself out of the 'harmless liberal' category in my book.

Colmes is a Sleestak from the popular 70's Saturday morning adventure, 'Land of the Lost'.

Fox news should fire Colmes. This is too extreme a view to have, even just agnostic as he says. That is madness. And just shows what mad fools the left has become, or likely been all along. I didn't see the show. Every time I try watching it, my BP becomes dangerously high.
I believe Sean was calling for the firing of that teacher for saying what he did. So, why not fire Colmes since he is apparently advocating the same theory? I would like nothing better than to see that arrogant slimeball get a pink slip from FOX.

Colmes is a transparent foil for the left. He is such a stupid, ugly duffer that nobody would seriously entertain his viewpoint. Every once in a while I see that even Colmes is taken aback by the character he is portraying, supporting judges who release child molesters, professors who condone terrorist attacks, lawyers who endorse anti-American decisions, etc. Things that most thinking Americans would puke about.

Are you sure this wasn't his feeble attempt at humor? He's way out there at times but if he was serious he should be fired ASAP. I believe I read somewhere that Colmes fancies himself as a comedian. He is a lot of things but ha ha funny is not one of them.

Have you assumed that Alan Colmes is an essentially harmless, if misguided, liberal? He is not harmless, and not misguided. Our local Clear Channel station airs his radio show from 11:00 pm - 1:00 am.
Alan is a full blown moonbat.

"Being agnostic about the subject of the possibility that President Bush planned and executed the whole 9/11 scenario is crazy and wrong...and NOT worthy of respect to the person that asserts it." Quite right, I agree.
It's just a relex I've grown, explaining the term - I don't mean to patronize people but it's so commonly misunderstood as meaning "Godless" or "doubtful", which it's neither.

and don't forget he somehow got those passengers on the plane that hit the Pentagon and the PA field to call their loved ones and tell them what was going on - ah - or no, Bush must have had them lie. etcand then there were all the firefighters in and around the buildings - they had to be in on it and not report the 'truth'
It's time for our side to start speaking up loud and clear.

"BTW notice how when Ollie North is on and making sense Colmes will spend the segment talking over ollie so no one can hear what he is saying?"
He also has perfected a second technique typical of a person lacking knowledge, background information or factual data...i.e. a liberal. On the program tonight, after he rudely spoke over Lt. Col. North, he sat in wait while Sean conducted his segment of the interview. Knowing when the commercial break was imminent and the segment would conclude, Colmes suddenly broke in on the conversation and began a typically useless diatribe (culminating with a brief description of the next segment and an immediate break to commercial) without allowing Lt. Col. North the opportunity to respond. He has become very adept at ensuring he "gets the final word" in this manner.
My wife made an interesting observation. She watched the program to its conclusion and noticed that prior to a commercial break, Sean and Colmes remained on camera for several seconds and didn't share a word or a glance. Sean has always taken the high road with Colmes and stated that they are "friends". I wonder if it is becoming impossible for Sean to keep up that facade?
Sean is sincerely devoted to those serving in our nation's military and their families. When Colmes tried to compare Pres. Bush's campaign using a photograph of the leader of our nation addressing the assembled crowd at ground zero after we were attacked by Islamofacists on September 11, 2001 to the current democrat campaign advertisements showing the flag-draped coffins of those brave members of our military who volunteered to serve and sacrificed their own lives in the course of their unselfish mission made me sick as it clearly did Sean.
I believe Fox would be better served to replace Colmes with a person who does not preface his questions with 20 seconds of personal political commentary, but who is intelligent, not afraid to ask probing questions and has the personal confidence to allow his interviewee to respond to the question without interruption.
I apologize for the rant........I very rarely watch Hannity and Colmes but happened to see 2 segments of tonight's program.
God bless,

Colmes has always overtalked Ann Coulter, also. For several years, I've rarely heard her end a sentence when this pencil-neck geek interrogates her.
Ann just sits and takes it without asserting herself, but Ollie will shut Alan up when this commie technique is utilized by the geek.
Tonight, Colmes even pulled the overtalking on Sean at the end. He walked all over Hannity's closing remark.
Did anyone see the finale as the credits were rolling? As the two sat in silence at the desk, Sean was intently staring right at the geek with an expression that was part incredulous, part disgusted and part murderous. I don't think Holmes' support of the mental-case conspiracy theorist went over too big with Hannity.
Colmes is soul-less human debris.

When I first watched H & C, I always disagreed with Colmes, but always thought he was polite and put forth decent arguments. Now I can't stand the guy!
Sean often tells us how people approach him and wonder how they can work with Colmes. Now I see it. He is getting more vitriolic and obnoxious with every argument he puts forth. I don't know how Sean puts up with him!

This is really too bad. I have never really liked Alan Colmes, of course, but I felt that he provided an appropriate counter-balace to Sean Hannity and was not too far off on the left. And, yes, he has made me laugh on more than a couple occasions. I suppose "harmless" would be an appropriate word to describe him. Or would have been, anyway. Anyone who is even willing to give ridiculous conspiracy theories like these a second thought is an extremist and does not deserve to be in the same spotlight as sane and reasonable individuals like Sean Hannity.

I quit watching H+C on December 5, 2005, when Colmes called US troops Terrorists on national TV. I do not understand how Hannity can appear on the same stage with that traitor. The show has not been allowed on my TV since that night, and I still remember the exact date.

If that's true, he has written himself out of the 'harmless liberal' category in my book. <<< Your first mistake was in believing that there is such a thing as a "harmless liberal".
There is no such animal - the liberal mind is flawed and contorted. The liberal is not able to discern right from wrong, black from white (don't PC me!), and evil from humanitarianism.
The liberal mind views evil doers as victims, and finds evil in those who would defeat evil.
Liberalism is nothing more complex than a distortion created in a sick mind.
Because it makes NO Sense, rational minds have not yet figured out how to deal with it. The solution lies in labeling it for what it is.....sickness, a disease, an abnormality, distorted thinking....folly!

"Osama bin Laden issued a videotape Friday admitting responsibility for the Sept. 11 attacks and blaming President Bush and U.S. policy on Israel."
"OSAMA BIN LADEN (translated): Now we are in the fourth year after Sept. 11, Bush continues to mislead you about the real reasons; therefore, what happened could be repeated. I will talk to you about the reasons for these events."
"And I will be honest about the moments when the decision was taken. I tell you God knows that we have never thought of hitting the towers until we were fed up with the U.S.-Israeli alliance."

Anyone who says they don't know who brought down the WTC or attacked the Pentagon, is either a complete moron or hates the United States more that they dislike mass murder. This also goes for people who say the U.S. or Israel brought down the WTC.

I guess I was one of those that THOUGHT Alan Colmes was a decent guy who just sometimes went to the dark side for the show purposes. I knew that he was liberal, but did not think he was a wacko. This proved me wrong...I think it is a shame that democrats have gone so low on the decent scale. I am all for discussion of issues but they don't know how to do it. I am so glad that I am part of an intelligent mostly realistic group of folks, the Republican Party (I know we are conservatives first, but just to make my point I clumped us all together).

Alan Colmmunist is a disgusting liberal idiot and Hannity should dump his sorry a$$
And bring on who? Hannity would have to pick another lib so who do you propose? I mean you can't bring another conservative on or the show is not the show.

Ratings and too much DU.
Is there any possibility that the suits told both Hannity and Colms to get more outraigous for the sake of ratings. I always found that the show was humorous sometimes the way they interact. They go out to dinner with family and have BBQ's together so I think this is just an act...remember they are going up in ratings and probably want to beat O'Reilly. I don't know this for a fact, but just seems possible.
