A Reuters employee has been suspended after sending a death threat to an American blogger.
The message, sent from a Reuters internet account, read: "I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throats cut."
It was sent to Charles Johnson, owner of the Little Green Footballs (LGF) weblog, a popular site which often backs Israel and highlights jihadist terrorist activities.
In the threat, the Reuters staff member, who has not been named, left his email address as "zionistpig" at hotmail.com.
Reporting the message to his readers, Johnson wrote on his website: "This particular death threat is a bit different from the run of the mill hate mail we get around here, because an IP lookup on the sender reveals that he/she/it was using an account at none other than Reuters News."
After bringing the threat to the attention of Reuters, Johnson was told by the news organization's Global Head of Communications, Ed
Williams: "I can confirm that an employee has been suspended pending further investigation. The individual was not an employee of Reuters' news division."
In an additional twist, Johnson traced the movements of the sender of the threat, and found direct parallels between the internet locations of the sender and Inayat Bunglawala, Media Secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain.
Bunglawala, who contirbuted an editorial to the Guardian website, has attracted negative attention in the past after making anti-Semitic outbursts, and has declared that the British media was "Zionist-controlled."
In the comment section of the Guardian, underneath his own editorial, Bunglawala denied sending the threat, blaming "Zionists" instead.
"That was not me! Methinks some Zionists are up to mischief," he wrote.

It's true.. they are biased, agenda driven, ect... and I don't think this is a recent phenomenon ... I think this goes back to when we first had "reporters"
The notion that journalists are unbiased is merely a myth..
That twit calls CHARLES a wanker??? Does he own a mirror?
My teenaged girl could kick his prissy butt.
I've always preferred dealing with people who readily and freely admit they stand somewhere-- everyone has biases, positions, and a certain viewpoint, and as long as they are honest about it, I can apply my own corrections. If needed.
I have always maintained that any reasonably literate and educated person can write a news story.
It is not quantuum mechanics- you get the five "W's," talk to everybody and summarize their stories ( and contrary to what people believe, there aren't two sides to every story, there are often three, four, or more... ) and if you see a need for commentary, add, "In my opinion, this is what is happening."
I guess I fall prey to MSM marketing where the news is "fair and balanced" or it is supposed to be..
I've been involved in several news stories myself.. and was quite surprised on how much the stories differed from what actually occurred, they were full of errors..
That's where forums like this, and the newer blog phenomenon, are a godsend- provided the medium is fairly moderated, if you get enough inquisitive minds from diverse backgrounds poring over everything, you elimate most of the spin and distortion.
One reason I favor blogs like LGF is that the comments and links are so informative. All it needs is an "ignore" button, and a "new posts to you" feature so you don't miss people replying to you.
I've been on LGF for quite some time. This format is somewhat more fast and furious ...
But, we'd never see people marching up and down the steets of America with signs stating "Death to Hezbollah" and burning Nas and OBL look alikes. Even if we think it, we are more civilized than that
Reuters is pulling all 920 photos from this guy. See drudge front page.
Drudge had him on his radio show last night.
Yes but I bet we have at least 100 of those photos archived here.
No need for marching and certainly no need for signs. Simple need to capture this photographer, try him for deliberate, deceitful propaganda and being an operative of Hezbollah and execute him. I'm tired of fooling around. If it were up to me, I would take drastic action against our enemies and eliminate them AND their families.
You mean Charles?
He was on CNN today..
I think he kept him on for two segments.
I missed it.. today on CNN he got in a dig about Qana.. said the guy probably staged those photos..
It would be nice, wouldn't it, if the MSM actually checked that out?
/not holding my breath
Drudge let him rip. It was great. He even mentioned the death threat.
Today on CNN they mentioned that Charles was responsible for exposing the Tang memos as frauds, that CBS fired Mapes...
Thought that it was about time to hear it on the MSM...
He is on right now WABC radio Mark Levin.
He's everywhere...... ... ... ..
It takes some getting used to- I joined when there were 20,000 members listed on the front page, and there are over 250,000 now... and even at the 20K number, when something big ( Elian at that time ) would break, the place would go nuts- dropouts, slowdowns, flame wars, general "fur flying."
We have actually been on top of a number of stories:

My specialty is aggregating links ( sometimes with quips & quotes to tell you why they are important ):
DUBOB 11-- even *more* tales from the Dark Underbelly of the Beast.....
