I suspect he is....but will I care if the GOP is in power if they turn into democrats futher expanding the social welfare state and increasing the tax burden on the minority of Americans who will actually still pay taxes? I'm looking down the road, at it isn't a rosy picture for anyone who isn't a recipient of their neighbor's hard work.

they'll be either granted legal status, or they'll just vote illegally, like they do everything else There is already a left wing group registering illegals to vote in the Nov. 2006 election. It's a nationwide campaign with the goal of registering 1 million before November. I heard this on Laura Ingraham but I forgot the name of the group that's doing it. You will hear more about this in the very near future, I'm sure.
The leftists are pushing the envelope and DARING the republicans to try to "disenfranchise" the "undocumented workers".

I found this interesting email on the Neil Boortz web site:
To the Editor:
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the U.S. might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your home you insist that I leave. But, I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors: I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest ... except for that part where I broke into your house.
"According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan and provide other benefits for me and my family. My husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest ... except for that breaking in thing.
"If you try to call the police or force me out I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be here. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest .... ummmmm .... except for that breaking in thing.
"Besides. What a deal it is for me! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being anti-housebreaker!
Did I miss anything? Does this sound reasonable to you? If it does, grab a sign and go picket something. If this sounds insane to you call your senators and enlighten them because they are stumbling in the darkness right now and really need your help.

Poor people vote for folks who promise to give them things Exactly! And there's already a leftist group registering illegals to vote for the Nov 2006 election. I heard Laura Ingraham talking about it last week. It's a nationwide campaign to have 1 million registered before November.

And leaving open paths to citizenship for those already in the country, albeit illegally, will serve to make "Latinos a GOP stronghold," Morris advised. When Latinos bother to vote, they vote for the Democrat.

Your concerns should be addressed during Primary elections. There is no need to return the SAME Republicans to power. I know this much, I intend to pound the pavement for ANY Republican who will run against limp-wristed Lindsey Graham and the weasel Specter.

They're here and they've been pretty much promised they can stay after they play wink and a nod with Washington. They aren't going to be forced to return to Mexico and apply like ever single other immigrant world wide that wants to come here. The others will still be waiting for years while the criminals remain here and we continue to pay for the education and medical care so yeah, they're being rewarded for their criminality and it is amnesty.

Absolutely. Dead people vote for Democrats, so why not illegals? All you need is a driver's license. No matter how hard Bush tries to pander to them, they won't be voting GOP.

Morris further advised at the time that if the Republican Party allows the enforcement-heavy House bill to become law - a fence with no guest-worker program - it will antagonize the vital Latino vote and the GOP would consign itself to permanent minority status. If the Senate bill passes, the GOP will be in permanent minority status. As the demonsrtators chanted a few weeks ago, "Today we march, tomorrow we vote." It was the the Dems who addressed the crowds. Kennedy, Moran, and Hillary. If our political leaders of both parties want to pander to the Latino vote, the US has jumped the shark and we are on the glide path to a third world country. Without true border security, we will be overwhelmed in a few decades.

It's just cover for trying to push through the old "guest worker", now called "temporary worker" program.
Dink Morris is more of a prostitute, than the ones he's tried to stiff.

"Morris has warned that the Republican risks losing its dominance in the near future if it doesnt grab a larger share of Hispanic voters." And that is what it is all about folks!: Which Party will gain their lions share of the Hispanic votes. Isn't it amazing to watch our Esteemed political leaders sell us out in order to procure the special interest of minorities?

well, people who think like Morris don't represent historical greatness. Being a reactor, instead of a creator, does not accomplish much. Great hisotrical figures have brought people to their causes, which they know are right, not tried to find the most popular 'current cause'.
I don't see the point in all this politiking.

As to Bushs vital guest worker proposal, Morris sees it as "the key to keeping the GOP competitive with Hispanic voters. He won 12% of the vote by alienating 70% of the vote. Makes sense to me!
