Right - same here ... it would be nice if the Border Patrol and the government took the same idea ...

"Furthermore, any Impeachment Attempt by the dems on spying on Al qaeda would hurt the dems politically. "

I"m sure that the reason given will be "spying on "innocent" American citizens", NOT Al Qeada.

"I like his speach and it made sense. My grandaughter is National Guard. Are you a trooL. "

I think that his speech was too much amnesty. I thank you and your grandaughter for her service to our country. I served my country 1964-1968, I am not a trooL.

No, Dick isn't correct. By passing first and only a secure the border bill and putting off for 2007 the more sticky issues of what form the 'amnesty/earned pathway to citizenship' will take, the pubbies could retain control of House and Senate and take the necessary time to deal with the less obvious portions. The key to success is to close the border, then discuss the further steps and open the doorways to constituents to offer their directions to each rep. ... I know, the arrogant elected reps of both parties 'don't need no directions from constituents' -and Ted the swimmer proves that axiom- but we are discussing the rightness and wrongness don'tchaknow.

"When Latinos bother to vote, they vote for the Democrat."

Utter nonsense.

As someone whose screen name implies that they reside in a border state, you know what I say is true.

As someone who is of hispanic origin (albeit Jewish) with family on both sides of the border, I know what you say is nonsense.
