sorry... I just don't see this way..

I thought I had 45 days to learn and then contact my reps about my voice on the matter..

they just took that away from me...

a LOT can happen in 45 days.. who knows- I may have been persuaded to be against the deal....

the deal being stopped does NOT anger me.. it bothers me- but does not ANGER me... what ANGERS me is them taking my voice away...

does that make sense? Am I mistaken about my voice being taken away by their stunt?

Since St Patrick's Day is this coming Friday, here's an Irish toast in honor of the day

Saint Patrick was a gentleman,
Who through strategy and stealth,
Drove all the snakes from Ireland,
Here’s a toasting to his health.
But not too many toastings
Lest you lose yourself and then
Forget the good Saint Patrick
And see all those snakes again.

;-)

(My Underline)

It is important to note here that the current SOD Donald Rumsfeld endorced the "Port" deal. And of course Hunter was against the deal.

Now, here in the transcript, Duncan Hunter says for any similar type of deal, "whatever he(Rumsfeld) goes with".

The question is, Does Tim Russert have highlights in his hair? The answer is no, that is just where he places the yellow streaks that are usually running up his back. Seriously he is more than old enough to have a lot of white/gray in his hair, and he has aged a lot since The Plamme game.

The Maersk deal should have been held up due to antitrust concerns if nothing more. They own terminals, cargo ships, cargo air and rail. If any one company is now in a position to "control" the US international commerce, it is Maersk and all it's companies. The Danes are in love with the European Union. Just wait until they decide that an international tax is a good thing. They will have US by the short hairs. Security isn't isn't just about guns.

Funny the Dems for the little guy haven't mentioned how that mega deal will make it harder for small to mid-sized terminal operators to compete.

Sorry you feel that way.The deal that Pence suggested and others ran with to give you time for your voice to be heard was a 45 day HOLD and review .The President agreed to the review but apparently not the HOLD.Then because the deal was not on "hold" Congress went ahead and killed it.Pence got caught in the middle and was frankly irrelevant. The GOP needs to work on our communications so that this never happens again.
