"I've always liked him when I've seen him on TV, except over this issue."

Then shouldn't you act as a typical Freeper and YELL that, "That does it! I have had it and will never support another republican as long as I live?"

After all, it only takes disagreement on one single issue to turn against the party and send 'hate' posts to contrarians.

For proof, check replies to this post in an hour or so!

For some real meat for this post, did anyone notice the embarrassingly phony looking toup on Bill Krystal?

Single issue voting isn't productive and often ends up getting the results you don't want."If you sit home and refuse to vote because someone like Guiliani is on the ticket, someone like Hillary will get elected. and while Guiliani is pro-choice, I doubt that he is going to make on of his goals pro-abortion policies throughout the government. Hillary would. And I thought I was the only one that thought that way, great stuff MissMarple. Brilliant quote and it pays to remember we are in a time of war. We will need a war time President. Someone who can make decisions that are sound, experienced and right for the country. Does that sound like McCain or Hillary? Hell no!

Best part was watching McCain have a conniption fit when Schumer added port legislation to the discussion on lobbying reform! LOLOLOLOL.....couldn't have happened to a nicer backstabber.

Mitt Romney is going to be the next President. Not McCain, Not Guiliani, not Hillary. Bet on it. He's got the big MO, and Allen is just too low key.

Feingold Wants Bush Censured for Spying

By DOUGLASS K. DANIEL, Associated Press Writer 16 minutes ago

A liberal Democratic senator who is considering a White House bid in 2008 said Sunday he is seeking to censure President Bush over his domestic eavesdropping program. The Senate majority leader called it "a crazy political move."

A censure resolution, which simply would scold the president, has been used just once in U.S. history — against Andrew Jackson in 1834.

Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold (news, bio, voting record), a longtime critic of the Bush administration, said he hoped a censure would cause Bush to apologize for the warrantless surveillance that he put in place on his own after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

"What the president did, by consciously and intentionally violating the Constitution and the laws of this country with this illegal wiretapping, has to be answered," Feingold said on ABC's "This Week."

That'll get him Republican votes but you need more than that to win a national election.

A sure sign that they know they have finally lost on this issue. Censure is short for "I give up".

The disrespect that the Pubbies have shown President Bush recently is second only to the dems..... More words of wisdom from our # 1 poster of last week. Exactly in addition most times Pubbies and rats go against the President they wind up with egg all over and this time will be no different.

Indeed.

They're on the way to proving to the voters that they're insane with hatred for President Bush.

We had best focus on 2006 so that the President continues with a strong political mandate. If he barely has a majority in the house and/or senate he is going to have his burden doubled by the media.

President Bush does not deserve such disrespect from republicans.

I guess he missed the recent trip to Afganistan, India and Pakistan.

Biden isn't the only one. That trip couldn't have gotten less publicity if it was intended to be a secret operation. The MSM has to keep up the lie that Bush is "lazy." I heard that word used by Sen. Dodd today on FNSunday.

So, ... you think that dims will support you?

There is no such thing as the perfect candidate. You work to make your views known, then vote for the one who is closest to your views. Not voting because you don't agree on one issue does not put your issue forward. Thank W for the judges that just MIGHT get you the result you want. The dims would NEVER give you those judges.

Many thanks again, AB!

The best thread on FR. Plus, this thread has saved a lot of FReepers from health problems, and has prevented many a TV from being smashed. These Sunday Talk Show have become a revolving door of "same ole same-o." The same guests. The same spin. Even FNS. Fortunately, there's the Brit Hume-Juan Williams (AKA, the DNC's crash dummie) "b*tch slap" to look forward to.

It's both healthier, and more informative, to read this thread every Sunday than to watch the same guests say predictable stuff week after week. And, nobody posts better photos than snugs. As they say, "release the hounds..."
