sorry... I just don't see this way..
I thought I had 45 days to learn and then contact my reps about my voice on the matter..
they just took that away from me...
a LOT can happen in 45 days.. who knows- I may have been persuaded to be against the deal....
the deal being stopped does NOT anger me.. it bothers me- but does not ANGER me... what ANGERS me is them taking my voice away...
does that make sense? Am I mistaken about my voice being taken away by their stunt?
Sorry you feel that way.The deal that Pence suggested and others ran with to give you time for your voice to be heard was a 45 day HOLD and review .The President agreed to the review but apparently not the HOLD.Then because the deal was not on "hold" Congress went ahead and killed it.Pence got caught in the middle and was frankly irrelevant.The GOP needs to work on our communications so that this never happens again.
I don't feel that I had my voice taken away, I felt that they never had the courtesy to give me a voice. They listened to the Unions and the strident Border Security Advocates, and never bothered to listen to reasoned voices. Incidentally I would love to see a 30 foot fence erected along our Southern border with very secure checkpoints.
