I am SICK of EVERYTHING BEING BUSH'S FAULT! Yah, and why do the Congresscritters want to vote on the Arab issue now that it is off the table? We all know why - the Dim want to make sure Bush cannot do anything without their approval in the future, and the Repubs who so desire want to distance themselves from their "LAME DUCK" president. Frankly I find it sickening and disgusting on the Repub part,; fully expected from the Dims since their mantra is that everything is Bush's fault by default. I want the Critters to go and review every single terminal in the entire US to see who owns and is operating them, and I want all contracts that have been signed with non-US registered companies to be voided immediately. See what happens to our exports and imports. What utter non-sense followed the "Portgate" story - very little truth was told anywhere. AND you are so correct about the 45 and 6 days - rubbish for political grandstanding. Hope it is remembered come Nov 06.
/rant off.....

I'm sure you're correct, Sleuth. BTW - I don't care for Levin, either. Why does he always wear his glasses on his nose when he's on TV - -I suspect they're reading glasses. What the heck is he reading?? Maybe, the DNC talking points in front of him so he can get through an interview?

I agree with you totally.
My point was (is) that, like it or not, abortion is a cornerstone issue with any candidate for POTUS and whomever vies for the job must have his talking points clear.
If a dolt like timmy can nudge him (or any candidate) off-point, consider what could happen in the heat of debate. My misgiving is that this less than firm, concise articulation isn't going to inspire the confidence necessary to sway the niche (single-issue) voters to support his candidacy.
My comments aren't meant as much to criticize Allen as much as an admonition to any candidate for the Republicans (democraps, feeeeeel free to go ahead and continue with your delusional rants!)

One of the ironic aspects of the entire port/lease issue is the constant claim of "port security" held in the hands of a foreign country. What idiocy. There basically is no such thing as port security!! We currently survey about 5% of the containers coming into U.S. ports. That leaves 95% unchecked and avaliable for dirty bombs or whtever terrorist plans there are for us!! There is some security given the ports by the Coast Guard and other govt. agencies but it is way too little to prevent cataclismic events. Why the hell is it going to matter who leases the ports when union thugs are basically responsible for security in the containers. If any nation in the world wanted to terrorize us that is the point!!! We need to realize that we are a free and open country and therfore are completely open to terrorist attacks on any of a thousand fronts. To single out one company that attmepts to lease several ports in a business deal is sheer insanity of the worst level business wise and security wise just plain dumb. Prejudice -wise its un-American and unforgiveable.

Regardless of what these pundits are saying, and I have noticed that a lot of the "inside the Beltway" Conservatives are warming up to Mccain, he will not win the Republican Primary because he is a loose cannon, and has more baggage than OHare Airport. The media is waiting for the Pubbies to be stupid enough to vote him in as the Pubbie Candidate so they can bring out all that Baggage and begin their total trashfest on Mccain. They have kept quiet about his Present wife's huge substance abuse and criminal fraud problems, his ex-wife who he dumped (for the Young and Rich Cindy) after she kept a vigil at home all those years he was a POW,his Keating 5 problems, and others too numerous to name. They were Bus mates with Mccain on the Straight Talk Express, and know a lot more dirt than even we freepers know. They are just waiting for the Opportunity because McCain is really very conservative and not really their man. He is just a tool for them to use to get back into the White House.

PENCE: Well, Chris, let me tell you, I thank God every day that George W. Bush is a president more determined than the enemies of this country to keep the American people out of harm's way. On this deal, I just think the president was ill-served by an antiquated process in the so-called CFI plan that Chairman Hunter refers to. We simply ought to talk in an orderly way about changing that in ways that reflect the post-9/11 world.
This new homeland security report confirms what the common sense of the American people felt about this deal, that while we cherish our relationship with the United Arab Emirates, that this was just a bridge too far in that new relationship given some of their troubling associations in the past.
But let me also say I think it's extremely important, Chris, that the United States Congress and this administration seek a way in the immediate future to reaffirm our sense of the importance of our new relationship with the United Arab Emirates.
Well Pence- nice of you to embrace the President before you BLLAME HIM.....
that sounds like Sean's rant the other day....
I will read the rest....but DANG if this doesn't irritate me.. he could've SHOWN he MEANT any of this gibberish if he would've TRULY TRUSTED the COMMON SENSE of most Americans if he'd have just allowed the 45 day review...
they gave me 45 days to review with htem and let my voice be known.. then yanked my chance to learn anything in just 6 days...
Let alone how they TOOK MY VOICE AWAY!
oh boy.... where's that whiskey...
I don't want to read anymore.. but I shall....

In my opinion 5% is a high percentage anymore would totally cripple trade.
The paperwork check is the most important when new exporters/importers appear those are the flags.

Thanks to YOU and the Swifties..we all know about Kerry's past...
But, I think that a lot of McCain's past has been buried and maybe not even known to a lot Americans..like his treatment of the families of the POW/MIA...that came to Washington looking for answers...I understand that McCain's attitude toward them was less than cordial.
I highly doubt we have to worry about a Kerry v. McCain contest...but I hope if McCain ends up the GOP candidate that perhaps we can be as successful in exposing HIS past, as we were with Kerry.

Thanks for the transcript.
From it;
Hunter:The Dubai government in 2003 shipped 66 nuclear triggers, high-speed switches that can be used to detonate nuclear weapons -- allowed that shipment to go to Islamabad, even while we had an American agent standing on the dock asking the customs director of Dubai not to let this shipment go.
(My Underline)
How does Hunter come to the conclusion that the above underlined statement of his is true?
