NOTE : The following post does not apply to
those FReepers who are
1) Active Duty
2) Those with disabilities
3) Care givers of those with disabilities
4) Those with financial hardships
5) Those who actually support our troops in other ways.
IF people REALLY cared, they would get away from the computer and actually do something,
in the real world, to actually assist Homeland Security.
I've done it each and every week,
often more than once a week,
since Oct 2001
I don't receive a dime and even pay for my own uniforms.
The choice is either "listen" to all the pros and cons
or actually be part of the solution.
http://nws.cgaux.org/visitors/ps_visitor/index.html PS You'll have to leave your "politics"
at the door while you wear the uniform.

Over turning Roe at any time will just return it to the states, where it should have been decided in the first place.

If the Dem's win the Senate/House in November... it all-impeachment/all-the-time. And as a 'sweetener...' it would almost guarantee Hillary in 2008. That whining they did down in Memphis was pathetic... the party is acting like a deer caught in the headlights.
They had Braveheart on one of the cable channels last night... and I couldn't help but catch some of the similarities between the Scot's... and todays, Republican party.

That may have been the correct decision for the USSC to have made but there are more women who vote today in national elections and no man will ever get elected in a national election if he came out and stated the Roe v Wade should be overturned and returned to the states.

Interestingly enough the dems are furious that the republicans got out first to decry the Ports deal.

Placido Domingo just told Chris Wallace that as a child singing beside his mother at the piano in their home, he hit a particular note that made his mother cry.
I had a similar experience in my youth with my mother playing at the piano. I was sitting there by her side one July summer night in 1957 and tears came to her eyes as I sang along. I asked why she was crying. She said...... "Thommy, you stepped on my foot."

Good post!
But, I'd hold off on choosing anyone as a personal favorite for president in 2008. Way too soon and time will provide us with more information.

Do you know what the Patriot Act is? Have you heard of it? Maybe she only reads the NYTimes. Yesterday they ran an article headed "Republicans Hail a Colleague Who Fought Bush on Ports." In it they said "Any tension between the men appeared to have broken during a curious encounter Mr. King had at the White House, where he happened to be attending a bill-signing ceremony on Thursday...."
Now what bill do you think that was? Not the long delayed Patriot Act that Reid had declared "killed.> no bias here /sarcasm
To: MNJohnnie
Notice how some republicans have jumped on the 'bridge to nowhere' mantra to show how tough they are on spending.
Spending everywhere but their own district!

Why are you folks getting so upset? Dont you realize what a great thing Feingold is doing for us?
First, it aint gonna happen.
Second, how great will it be to put Dems on the record regarding whether or not the President should be punished for TRYING TO PROTECT THE COUNTRY?
No need to get angry, in fact, we should celebrate. The Dems are doing it again, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
