TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Police used tear gas to break up a rock-throwing crowd that had gathered to protest a planned march Saturday by the National Socialist Movement.
At least two dozen members of a Roanoke, Va.-based group that calls itself "America's Nazi Party" had gathered at Wilson Park just before noon and were to march under police protection.

What you aren't taking into account is that FR is private property owned by JR. He makes the rules and he expects his guests to abide by those rules. You do not have free speech rights on FR. If he decides your name calling is inappropriate he has the right to ban you from his site.
I found a closeup of the drivers:
This is how Blade 'columnist' Roberta De Boer spun it today:
"To more than a few people who live in that neighborhood, yesterday was the day their city's police protected Nazis, but used tear gas to keep residents off their own streets."
And people actually wonder why I despise that newspaper & its owner.
Thank you.
Look, I found your post 958 laughable. Should I have used the word humorous? Should I have said it made me smile and laugh out loud? What's with you? I found it laughable.
Especially the part about the nazis passing out eggs to the agitated blacks.
What a hoot. Too funny!
Uh..no...the residents didnt do that...a bunch of punk G wannabes egged on by outsiders did that...
And notice....no body pulled any crap like that anywhere else in town...
Might catch a fatal dose of lead poisoning...
I cant wait for Bob jump on this moday morning...

We did exactly that one day when the National Socialist Workers showed up in Columbus, Ohio. It was a January 15 (I believe a Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday) and the National Socialist Workers got the permit first.
Absolute stone silence. I'd estimate the crowd outside the fence (yes, free speech inside a security fence; it makes throwing big things nigh-impossible) at over 5,000. And I'd estimate that 3%, tops, were marginally in favor. At that time, as now, short hair, sometimes known as skinhead, was uncommon, and sometimes, but not often, meant a National Socialist Worker or sympathizer.
I, like many others, showed up to see who else would show up. Not much chance for a riot; no easy way to explain why in polite language. If the National Socialist Workers have shown up again, I haven't heard. Refuse to spend a dime on the Columbus Disgrace, or on cable TV - as another poster's tag-line suggest, I do act accordingly.
Defund the left> Burn DVDs - except I won't do even that - it'd put their stuff in my brain.
Watch Babylon 5, season 4, episode 8. Title "The Illusion of Truth". In it, reporter Dan Randall of 36 Hours ... Trust me. Y'all will like it.
Do you mean to imply that he's a nutcase or that he's a highly paid agitator? From the details, Mr. White is well-funded. From my observations of prior KKK/National Socialist Workers type, they were scruffy-shoes poor. I understand that Mr. White has enough money to purchase several properties.
So my question is, who is paying Mr. White? While the local Toledo gangs made a few bucks, not enough. The FBI? George Soros? The Vast Media, looking for a different version of 'Survivors'? I think the correct answer would be enlightening.
Oh, I corrected spelling of "libertarian". Did you intentionally misspell so the Kibo pro/anti libertarians (you know who you are) can't search your post?
Actually, only the First Amendment starts out with "Congress shall pass no law..." Frankly, I think they should have stopped at the first period.
For my favored caliber weapon, see sig.
I saw your posts on the Toledo forum. Keep us informed and let us know if anything new comes up locally. Like, if Farrakhan decides to come to Toledo.
Back when I was a kid, yelling "Kill the umpire!" would simply be regarded as an idiot using his free speech. If he repeated himself (usually, not always a him, at anything from Little League to the Bigs) he might be escorted from the premises.
On the other hand, a crime boss saying to one of his employees, "Kill the umpire!" might get arrested. It's a matter of credible threat.
Another example: many people are shocked when/if they find out the Charles Manson did not participate in most of his group's violence. I remember scratching my head, wondering why all the focus on him, when most of the slaying was done by others - remember reading the stories, not all the details. I was a teen then, and did not fully grasp his complicity - then.
I remember being even more puzzled at the conviction of Patty Hearst - after being kidnapped, repeatedly raped, locked in a closet, etc. As an adult, I (mostly) fully understand the difference between a Patty Hearst, a cult follower, and a Charles Manson.
Unfortunately, in our PC (Political Censorship) era, often the distinction is lost. The National Socialist Workers (spit here) announced a march. A whole slew of other groups took note and planned. Or is it all the same? Mr. White ain't a Jim Robinson. Sorry, Jim, for even having your name in the same post as that other guy. So who's writing the checks? FR has a quarterly fund-raiser. I just don't see that many swastika bumper stickers. Think I'd raise Mr. W car insurance if he has them. Ah - agent provocateur - that is the phrase I've been hunting for.
Will do.
That's precisely why us baby boomers are so concerned about gun rights.
Perhaps you thought I was fabricating an opinion.

Way to go!
They do give permission for ANSWER to march, which are just communists with a different peaceful-sounding name. I wish the ANSWER marchers got rocks thrown at them too.
I want to know who organized the protest march and why was the Nazi's civil rights violated.
I have no love for Nazi scum, but they still have a right to express their views.
Nah, rioting is a form of intimidation. Give us what we want or we'll bust up the town.
