How many police and firefighters does NO have and were they ALL on duty...seems to me there was a real shortage of these civil servants
Maybe the school buses brought back unhappy memories of his schooldays.
Maybe he used to get into trouble for having a short fuse and a big mouth.
can someone use the 'small al' photo that was here the other day and make it so hes getting on a bus? lol
Because their gross incompetence will be exposed? How's that, for starters?
here is a link to the 20 yr old who took a NO school bus and went to Houston

Well, did a quick count and came up with 420 buses. Even if half were not functioning, that would leave 210. 210 X 40 people = 8,400 people evacuated.
If they could have made two trips: 16,800 people.
Obviously this mayor does not have proper cognitive abilities.
Call up the governor to bus the residents to Baton Rouge or lafayette.
The mayor and governor should have had a plan for bus drivers or contractors to bus people out and take them to inland cities in louisiana.
They knew Friday and waited until Sunday when Bush called them to evacuate. Mayor was worried about whether it was legal to order mandatory evacuations typical democrat mindlessness.
You should have had a new orleans police officer on every bus and gone down the 9th ward with bullhorns. Take the bus to a staging area, put state troopers on board and then bus them out to Baton Rouge red cross shelters.
They brought the sick and the poor to New Orleans Superdome with no food, knowing the electricity would go out and the MSM has the nerve to blame Bush.
We need to revolt against the MSM enough is enough.
I heard they were way short on manpower. Some left, some gave up.
At least the mayor could have arranged for the buses to travel through the unevacuated neighborhoods, distributing life jackets.
It doesn't even matter...that's what Governors are for. This idiot knew about ANY defeciency in his plan since last year when he even failed during Ivan. Hell, the ACLU and the homeless advocates warned the mayor that he had the responsibility to move the poor and impoverished out of the city. He responded by saying "our main focus is to get the people out of the city." This was a year ago...and all I see are buses parked in flooded lots.
Jurisdiction? They arent on trial they are evacuating. The DUmmies are desperate to blame Bush
Not to fear, anyone! Just spoke with my yellow dog democrat aunt. She was quite adamant in her observations. "If 'they' think we're buying this 'Bush didn't try his hardest' garbage, they are nuts! We all know Louisiana, the mayor of New Orleans, and the governor are as corrupt as they come! And Do NOT play that race card thing with me. I know what's going on!"
Well, well!
Sorry, I don't buy it. If they "may" use the busses in such an event they should have. It is a reasonable expectation of care, since the buses belong to the people. Instead, the LA politicos sat on their butts and did NOTHING. As O'Reily pointed out a couple of days ago, they did not even mobilize and organize the LA State Police and the LA Nat'l Guard when they had the opportunity before the storm. This is gross incompetence that I suspect rises to criminal negligence. The standard is usually "reasonable care" and the LA politicians didn't exercise it in any way.
Two days notice of a Cat 2 storm projected to hit somewhere within 200 miles of NO.
Yep. They have buses in addition to the cable cars and cabs. When we were there a few years ago, we took a half day bus tour of the city - and it was a big bus.
