Congressman Curt Weldon (R - Pennsylvania) gave another exclusive interview to Dom Giordano this evening (Monday) and broke the news that he will be giving a speech on September 8th (next Monday) during which he will present yet another 'Able Danger' witness. This new witness will attest (and will swear under oath when called) that he was "ordered to destroy records" relating to the 'Able Danger' program.
This order to destroy the records occurred prior to 9-11-01. Weldon intimated that it happened during the Clinton Administration.
The witness, who Weldon did not name, says that he was ordered to destroy records and was threatened with jail if he failed to comply. Weldon said that he has the names of the people involved, including the person who gave the order, and HE WILL NAME THEM in his speech.
Congressman Weldon also said that his staff has met with Senator Arlen Specter's (R - Pennsylvania) staff regarding the upcoming Judiciary Committee hearings. Weldon wants to be sure that everybody is on the same page. Weldon also said that he will do whatever he has to do to make sure that ALL the facts come out and that the process "is not manipulated".
Curt Weldon is like a pit bull on a steak. He expressed disgust with the "incompetence" of the 9-11 Commission and said that the victims of the 9-11 terror attacks deserve answers. Weldon is determined to see that they get them.
Weldon did express confidence in Tim Roehmer and John Lehman and speculated that perhaps the poor job done by the Commission was the result of an incompetent staff. Weldon sounded amazed and disappointed that so much important information was either glossed over or swept under the rug by the Commission.
Weldon will give his September 8th speech either to the National Press Club or to a "9-11 families" group which has asked him to speak. He apparently hasn't nailed down the exact venue yet.
(For those unfamiliar with Dom Giordano, he is a very good conservative local talk show host here in the Philadelphia area, an area which includes Curt Weldon's district. Weldon comes on Dom's show often and, like this evening, sometimes breaks news.)

ABLE DANGER has been described as focused upon data-mining for terrorism links, but presumably the software itself could take inputs on any subject at all and search for linkages.
MY SPECULATION: My guess is that some patriotic AD contractor thought (quite plausibly) "Gee, this powerful software might help turn up espionage or losses of sensitive technologies, let's see what we can find." They probably thought they were doing a great demo for the Pentagon to say "look at what else this super-duper software can do for you!" Unfortunately for them, and the country, they came up with all sorts of Clinton and DNC officials tied to shady deals with China, and the DOD Clinton/Gorelick lawyers freaked out and shut down the whole program. [raising Condi Rice's name in this context has been an obvious smokescreen -- in 2000 she had not been in power and could not have been involved in shady dealings with China -- but plenty of Democrats were!!!!]
History has proven him right in the vast majority of what he said. This guy just reminds me of Joe McCarthy is all.
Just because we get to talk about all of this doesn't mean the public will get to see much about it in the mainstream media ... in fact very much the opposite is far more liable to take place.
I also do not notice many other Republicans jumping on this particular bandwagon. Weldon's upcoming speech of 09/08/05 had better be a doozie ... enough at least to wake up Ted Koppel, or that superannuated parlor pinko, Daniel Schorr over at NPR! Gee ya think maybe Nina Totenberg will run it?

And this is critical to securing our national security for the future.
If this type of CYA was ordered, in an effort to deflect responsibility for the break down in intelligence that led to 9-11, then this nation, and I mean everyone in this nation, democrats, republicans, independents, EVERYONE DESERVES and NEEDS TO KNOW.
This is incredible.
And this is what a REAL INVESTIGATION IS ALL ABOUT...it is NOT about balance, it is NOT about wrongful accusations, it is about GETTING TO THE FULL TRUTH.
Clinton...both of those monsters...and their staffers are on the move right now, can't you feel it?
There is a pressure keg running through the avenues of communication they have woven, with those horrible names we all dispise, ickes, podesta, emanuel, magaziner, lindsey the clinton arm, probably paladino (sp?), and hundreds of operatives we do not know searching for the name of the brave individual who has come forward, along with ALL of the people they know were involved.
They are looking for a scapegoat...and will use any means to bribe someone into this slot if they do not have the means to blackmail someone.
Guess hitlery, her heinous, the fosterized witch of the black house, just didn't manage to get her filthy, greedy paws on Weldon's FBI file. Tough.

And this could expose the chinagate we all know so well.
Able Danger consisted of geeks who knew their way around the cesspool of underground technology...and they hit the mark, SEVERAL MARKS, ( Atta and the traitorous interactions between the clinton adm and the chinese ) ... only to be shut down.
I can ONLY imagine the nightmare the Able Danger folks have had to live with, knowing they had identified and pleaded their case to have atta and his cell looked into BEFORE 9-11 happened. That is horrific. A huge weight wrongful individuals laid upon them.
Sandy Berger, an AMERICAN official, assigned to guard our national security, STOLE papers from our national archives, in his socks and underwear, no less, and NOTHING has come of it to this date.
It is time to stop this nonsense.
He should be in JAIL until he speaks to what he STOLE and then DESTROYED.
My guess, much of it is related.
If ever clinton was looking for someone to blame....this is the time. He enjoyed using our Oval Office for a playroom, loved the money that flowed, often ill gotten, via this power position, loved the attracted to power and abused them, refused to deal with Osama after MANY ATTACKS, and now..maybe now..he gets to deal with the TRUTH.
Wonder how he will handle it.
