After her second round of chemo, Laura bowed to the inevitable and got a buzz cut and a wig named Wanda. It's typical that the hair loss kicks in about 2 weeks after the first treatment. I know because I had my sixth chemo yesterday.
I'm so jealous that she still is so beautiful without much hair! I'm 48 and reasonably attractive but me without hair is not something anyone would want to see, believe me :-)

FWIW, I recall that shortly after she announced she had cancer, she said the wedding was being "indefinitely postponed.."

Ewwww, I found this:
Ingraham told listeners, on May 11, 2005, that her engagement to James (Jimmy) Reyes had been canceled, citing issues that came as a result of her diagnosis with breast cancer. Despite the break-up, she maintains that the two remain good friends.
That is James in the picture. Well, none of our business, but hope it works out the way it should.

BTW, love your tagline :-) I have a quote from a book about cancer where a woman says that during chemo she still has bad hair days, but now she can grab her hair and give it a good shaking!
Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to bad hair days with my own hair again. Tragically and ironically, I had just paid $350 dollars for permananent Japanese Hair straightening two months before my diagnosis and was happier with my hair then ever in my whole adult life. Good thing I'm not superstitious or paranoid.

Everyone I have met in this same mess has sunk into pity or despair, or made it their hobby and focus.
My new dentist found my malignant melanoma in a lymph node when he did his cancer check. I asked our church to pray that I would keep my joy. I trusted God for the rest.
The receptionist at the dentist's office was a lady like you. She has cancer and was going through chemo, so no hair. But every day she wore a different ball cap and always a smile. She is wonderful.
Fortunately, my melanoma had not spread, but I did not know that until a couple of operations and several CT scans later.
At my last visit to the dentist she still had the cap but was through chemo, and no detectable cancer. I was able to tell her the same.
I think one reason that some fall into the self absorbed mode is, as you will find, most people have no idea how to act around people like us, when we are going through the valley. I had less people come up to me in church when I was diagnosed with the disease than before. They mean well and have little idea what to say, plus, it is almost like they think it is catching. And once you become old news, it seems that all have forgotten you and what you are going through. They have there own troubles. It is easy to fall into self-pity and feel very alone.
So I stood up at church one evening and instructed the church that every time they met me they should say, "Poor Bill" and led them in doing just that. There was lots of laughter. That broke the dam and all returned to normal. About three or four weeks later, after one of my operations, the Pastor instructed all in the church to rise up and say, "Poor, Bill." It was great. It became a running joke.
The other thing I did was to get out more and visit others who were going through trouble. There is never a lack there.
Victory is out there. It is a hard game to play but there is every reason to have joy in the struggle.

And continuing to lead a full, near-normal life. Wish I could find a friend who does he same. Everyone I have met in this same mess has sunk into pity or despair, or made it their hobby and focus.
After my son returned from Iraq (101st AB) he was diagnosed with sarcoma. He had major surgery, radiation and a year of chemo. He's kept his sense of humor, perspective and stayed focused on LIFE. His determination and ability to find humor in everything has amazed me:) I'll let him know you're doing the same!

That's not a buzz cut and she looks great. I wear my hair extremely short and when I get a hair cut its about that short.
