SEN. SCHUMER CAUGHT ON CELLPHONE: 'WE ARE GOING TO WAR' OVER SUPREME COURT

**Exclusive**

Senate Judiciary Committee member Chuck Schumer got busy plotting away on the cellphone aboard a Washington, DC-New York Amtrak -- plotting Democrat strategy for the upcoming Supreme Court battle.

Schumer promised a fight over whoever the President’s nominee was: “It's not about an individual judge… It's about how it affects the overall makeup of the court.”

The chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee was overheard on a long cellphone conversation with an unknown political ally, and the DRUDGE REPORT was there!

Schumer proudly declared: “We are contemplating how we are going to go to war over this.”

Schumer went on to say how hard it was to predict how a Supreme Court justice would turn out: “Even William Rehnquist is more moderate than they expected. The only ones that resulted how they predicted were [Antonin] Scalia and [Ruth Bader] Ginsburg. So most of the time they've gotten their picks wrong, and that's what we want to do to them again.”

Schumer later went on to mock the “Gang of 14” judicial filibuster deal and said it wasn’t relevant in the Supreme Court debate.

“A Priscilla Owen or Janice Rogers Brown style appointment may not have been extraordinary to the appellate court but may be extraordinary to the Supreme Court.”

By the time the train hit New Jersey, Schumer shifted gears and called his friend and “Gang of 14” member, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.

The two talked in a very friendly manner about doing an event sometime this week together.

Developing…

Now, why doesn't this surprise me, about Light-loafer Lindsey?

Schumer is turning Lindsey into his willing lackey like Count Dracula turned "Renfield" into his willing slave:

"You will keep your promise when we get the Supreme Court, won't you Master? You will see that I get lives, not human lives but small ones, with blood in them? I'll be loyal to you Master. I'll be loyal.".......

"Renfield as played by Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Correct. There have been a total of 12 recess appointments to SC.

It's great Schumer has been outted. Now the RINO's can't pretend the democrats intend to play by the rules. Republicans in the Gang of 14 have been outted too....as utter fools! And Democrats in the Gang of 14 have been sabotaged by one of their own.

Chuckie also said that the gay marriage issue was fair game to question a judge on. (Chuckie's never been noted for consistency). If Chuckie does this then no matter how it actually goes down it will look like he wants a pro gay marriage justice. A little spinning will help reinforce this perception.

Oh Lindsey, you must feel so cheap!

LMAO! I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time. He probably takes hours long showers while rocking back and forth under the water chanting, "Must get clean, must get clean..."

Thanks for posting it. This should be explosive news and headlines on all the Channels, with Drudge being interviewed about it.

This gives a rare glimpse into how the Dems are plotting and trying to thwart the Republicans and con them into nominating liberals.

Considering part of the reason they made the deal was to gain the Libs good will, if they have one braincell in their head they finally got a clue what these people really think about them. They didn't gain respect. Instead they are being ridiculed behind their backs. at least we do it up front.

And, I note no exception was made for mcCain. His good buddy Chuucky didn't state McCain was exempted. he referenced all 14.

"Schumer later went on to mock the “Gang of 14” judicial filibuster deal '

More confirmation that the Republicans were conned into this by the Dems, to avoid the Republicans using the constitutional option, eliminating filibusters on judicial nominees, which would have meant that the Dems wouldn't be able to thwart the President's nominee to the SCOTUS, but now they can.

The Republicans, yes, that means you, Sen. Frist, need to get their act together and do the constitutional option NOW!

Can you blame him? The character assassination of Gonzales right here on this board was totally disgusting.

You might not want Gonzales on the USSC, but he's a good man and didn't deserve the kind of bile that was being spewed against him. I'm proud that President Bush stood up for his friend and character assassination is as bad coming from our side as it is coming from their side.
