If Bush Doesn't Nominate A True Conservative, I'm Voting For Hilary For Presiden

I just realized...I mean that.

It's going to come down to this.

I have often argued, as many here have, that when FReepers said they would sit home rather than vote for (McCain, usually, sometimes Guiliani), that such sitting out would put Hilary in the Whitehouse.

But I'm not moving on this.

Rather than rant you can do something about it. Call your local GOP office and volunteer your help to defeat libs on the local level, drop literature in mailboxes, ask to be nominated to your precinct committeeperson if no one is represented in your ward.

To stay home and bitch and pout will surely help the liberals.

IMO both houses of congress will gain several REPUBLICAN seats in 2006, that will keep hildabeast in check should she... (ain't gonna say it)

"John Mc Cain", the only POW who came out of captivity weighing more that he did when he went in.

And unable to lift his arms above shoulder height for the rest of his life due to the torture that he suffered through.

Jackass.

What's it like to have an a-hole right below your nose? Does it really, really hurt?

It's a pity that your brain is so smooth and almost completely wrinkle free.

Stop stealing my lines.

I often speak of my 'smooth-brained friends'.

Woo hoo! Gridlock!! Then they can't do anything. Which is barely less than now. But less is better regarding the size of the growing government.

This won't be my decision making yardstick, but if and when it comes, I'm voting for a 3rd party.

I know I've come to this thread late, but I'm sure you got lots of flames! 8-)

Like I always said, when you vote for a demoncrat you know what you will get every time and when you vote for a republican, well, it's a coin toss on each issue.

A truism fit for the 21st Century! Blackbird.

A lack of ability to think rationally is the sign of someone who has been told how to think. In other words, an ideologue.

I was a CONSERVATIVE before you could spell the word.

Ah, ok, you keep pulling age. Interesting how you take pride in being a member of the hippie generation (or older). Either way, one of the generations that has helped screw this country so much. Thanks, hippie!

FYI, if you blindly support Dubya (as you apparently do), you're no conservative. Deal with the fact and accept your liberal self.

Good for you, you can see the error of your vote and what it brought us, 8 clinton years. I wish some other "Volunteers" were as bright as you.

We should expect a conservative to be nominated but the GOP types and GWB have a need to be liked by one and all, after all, that is what politics is all about. One takes for granted ones base of support and then panders to others to remain the party in power, because the party in power has the best parties, food, drink, boats on the waterfront, male and female guests, entertainers, the whole works. The Washington scene is all about the parties and whom gets to be invited to where.

A true conservative, if backed by other weak justices, could look at treaties that were put in place over the years, like NAFTA for example, and rule that they by the nature of the vote, are illegal. A justice like this GWB would never place on the SC bench. A conservative might rule that the CFR law (McCain Feingold) is unconstitutional and reverse the ruling, or, rule on gun laws actually believing that the second amendment is absolute. In either case the President would not want such a judge to sit on the court.

GWB is more elite and universal than conservative in the name of our treasured document, the US Constitution.

If the Republicans aren't conservative enough for me, I'll put the far Left in power? This makes absolutely no sense. It's like a two-year-old so upset because she didn't get a cherry with her ice cream throwing the whole dish on the floor. No cherry, no ice cream, and a swat on the behind instead.

I respect your conviction.

I applaud your resolve.

I find your naivete refreshing.

However,

bush 43 will NOT apoint a true conservative.

bush is pro big government, and like several of his predecessors, pro special interest.

We all know this, it is no secret.

To expect this president to appoint any candidate that does not follow this line of thinking is foolish.

I pray that I am wrong.

I was referring to the party in general, and those that make the wheels go round.

The problem with you Black Tooth is that you don't like getting a specific answer from such a general question. It interferes with your superficial misconceptions. You referred to the "party in general". I then responded by answering your question specific to Republican politicians, Freepers who vote Republican, the general electorate and the 51st percentile of the general electorate that is the most conservative.

All of this after you backtracked on the question that I asked you, as you gave me this gem of a response: I have no idea what everyones true position is.

Look, you clearly do not want to answer the question...

Look, clearly you're a dunce.
