If Bush Doesn't Nominate A True Conservative, I'm Voting For Hilary For Presiden

I just realized...I mean that.

It's going to come down to this.

I have often argued, as many here have, that when FReepers said they would sit home rather than vote for (McCain, usually, sometimes Guiliani), that such sitting out would put Hilary in the Whitehouse.

But I'm not moving on this.

I'll just go ahead and sign off with one of your witty remarks: Some people, your age, have knowledge and understanding beyond their years. YOU AREN'T ONE OF THEM.

Get some sleep. It will do wonders for those wrinkles.

I will never vote for Hillary. But I won't vote for the GOP again if they don't get CONSTITUTIONALIST judges through, PARTICULARLY to the SCOTUS. So I make a pledge with the same effect: no Constitutionalist appointees, no more GOP votes.

We will have the Constitution restored, either through the courts or through the Congress, and I'll be damned if I'm going to vote for a party that promises to deliver both ways and refuses to actually do either.

Well, since you refuse to answer the question, there is no need to continue this.

If you aren't as young as I'm assuming you to be, then you're a case of arrested development.

No, you don't see things "pretty well", nor otherwise. Your posts could just as easily be written by a LIBERAL, for all of the FEELINGS !

Reality, being what it is, must be faced. Instead, you retreat into daydreaming, wishing, and pining away for something which has never existed and never shall exist. Nobody is asking you to close your eyes and hope that everything'll turn out for the best; except you. And yes, that's exactly what you are doing.

Have you ever worked on a political campaign? Do you even know, for real how one works? Have you ever personally known ( and I mean for real, not just having seen someone on a stage, shook someone's hand, been in the same room with, for a speech ) a national political figure? WELL, HAVE YOU? And if you have, did you tell him/her your views?

Look, kid, you have that wide-eyed, real life is what's in books or in the movies or on T.V. way of posting. It's why, from time immemorial, young men were the ones sent into battle...it's the idealism.

I despise both McCain and Hillary. Maybe McCain even more because he pretends to be on our side and then stabs us in the back over and over again. However, I have to say that I would probably force myself to vote for McCain if he ran against Hillary for the sole reason that he would defend this nation. She would not.

If, for one moment, you think that President Bush is a "ROCKEFELLER REPUBLICAN", than you neither understand what that term means, nor what Nelson Rockefeller stood for and most assuredly, you are worse than clueless about what President Bush is and stands for. Neither do you know nor understand anything whatsoever about the 18th century, 18th century Liberals, or 18th century liberalism.

You imagine, you dream, you assume, and you cavil about things you make up out of whole clothe. I'm not swallowing that Chimera.

Have your ears cleaned out and your eyes checked. There was nothing hidden from you, by President Bush, in either of his runs. At 27, you are a case of arrested development. At your age, you really should know and understand far more than you do.

Hillory is VERY dangerous.............at all cost she must not ever get near the White House again...
I see his frustration though..The Republicans are not acting like they are the winners at all, and Bush is playing things a little too safe for my taste..

You are neither witty nor clever. As a matter of fact, you are, as usual, completely out of your depth.

It's a pity that your brain is so smooth and almost completely wrinkle free. No amount of sleep, or much else, will help you; but why don't you get some rest? Ten or twelve continuous years of same, just might work wonders for you.

The next two appointments to the Supreme Court will tell Americans future for the next 20 plus years.

It will be the telling tale of whether we continue down this road to destruction of our country as we use to know it.

I can not make the kind of comment that can impress on any one who cares about our country, that this appointment is probably the biggest ever made to the court.

Yeah and you have delusions of adequacy. Thanks for the ad hominem attacks btw and I'm the immature one. Whatever floats your boat. Most of the people I know would call me a cynic, but cynicism and idealism tend to be flip-sides of the same coin. As you said it's late and I expect that we will never convince each other.

He is a true conservative

"True conservatives" don't vote for true liberals (e.g., Hillary Clinton).

Period. End of sentence. Full stop.

We'll just have to wait for the start of the Revolution Party which, as things are going, won't be long in forming.

The country is certainly polarized and promises to become even more so. Should Bush appoint at least two conservative textualists similar to Scalia and Thomas, the left will likely riot in the streets.

Nevertheless, Bush cannot allow himself to be intimidated and I don't believe he will back down from doing the right thing. Here's hoping his first two nominees are Brown and Luttig.

One last time. My point is there are people out there, in the Republican party that have no desire to see a smaller, less intrusive, conservative government. Looking at what we have, would you disagree?

Do you disagree??

I have no idea what everyones true position is.

I was referring to the party in general, and those that make the wheels go round. Look, you clearly do not want to anwser the question, and have done just about everything possible to avoid it.

That's fine. No problem.
