I just realized...I mean that.
It's going to come down to this.
I have often argued, as many here have, that when FReepers said they would sit home rather than vote for (McCain, usually, sometimes Guiliani), that such sitting out would put Hilary in the Whitehouse.
But I'm not moving on this.
FYI, Dubya's outspent Clinton by a LONG shot.
Nice of you to want to see our enemy reside in The White House
Well he is figthing two wars and actully running the nation as opposed to getting..."favors"
I saw Hillary once I'm going to poke my eyes out!
And once I am blind everyone will see what a horrible thing it is, and Republicans will grow spines...
What?
It's not as Stupid as your idea.
TT
If the republicans continue to behave like they have been, I will not vote for, contribute to or campaign for Republicans! I will take Neal Boortz advice and vote Libertarian. I will not vote for Hillary and though I disagree with the Libertarians on several important issues, not the least of which is their defense position...the republicans will at least see the votes they COULD have had.
I would not vote for that Marxist witch under any circumstances.
JohnRobertson and Hillary...two alike minds.
Well that'll definitely do it. Hillary will surely nominate a strict constructionist.
Yep!!
AND after you Vote "Hillary" ........ are you packing up and moving to France ? After They find out you "Politicly Surrendered", Hell, You'll Be Right At Home !!!
Can your kin get a zot? Probably depends on the spelling, I guess...
Vote third party. It would be almost sinful to vote for Hillary.
***Quick. Someone alert the media....***
I just did! It's going to be above the fold on the NY Times Sunday edition tomorrow. And I've got a phone call in to Dean. YEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWW!
There is no doubt that a betrayal on the SCOTUS nominee would signal that we are just being used by an elite.
At that point, the best thing to do would be to ACTUALLY begin full-fledged support of some 3rd party. There are only 2 viable alternative 3rd parties for me at this point, and even then, I'd have to have hope that they would eventually change some of their positions.
(Constitution & Libertarian)
John, I understand where you're coming from, but ...
(1) I don't think Bush is going to disappoint us.
(2) Even if he did, we would need to consider the consequences of our actions and not act out of revenge or raw emotion.
(3) If you ever come to the point that you cannot in good conscience vote Republican, vote Constitution Party ... not Hillary.
But a strict constructionist is not necessarily a conservative. There are very precise rules for construing legislative intent. If the legislature was liberal and passed a liberal law, a strict constructionist will interpret the law in a manner that will probably be liberal.
The whole idea is to get judges who don't interject their own biases.
9/11, the internet bubble, Y2K and nobody needed new computers after nothing happened, etc.
I absolutely HATE gov't spending on everybody's pet projects, and I am not a fan of GWB's socialist spending, but at least he is ready to kick butt with terrorists!
SM
No one.
It's very simple. I can exercise my right to vote, or I can stay home.
What I will not do is throw away my vote on a politician who lies to me about his political intentions.
Maybe a betrayal could start another 3rd party....The Free Republic Party. You all are probably in every state and every major city.
