Is it time for a March on the SCOTUS and the Judiciary and the Senate?

Is it time for a March on the SCOTUS and the Judiciary and the Senate?

Are you as fed up as I am over the bad decisions being handed down by the SCOTUS and throughout the judiciary? Are you tired of judicial activism? Are you tired of being ruled by the men in black robes? Is it time to remind the SCOTUS that We The People ARE the final arbiters of law and justice in this land?

Are you fed up with the weak-kneed Republican Senate? Are you ready to drop the nuclear option on the obstructionist Democrats? Are you fed up with Specter and the RINOs?

Is it time for us to rise up and march on Washington again? How many of you are willing to join me in another march to D.C. to straighten out these yahoos and remind them of who's in charge in this republic?

If they can do it in Lebanon, we can do it here!!

Oh, and let's have a Lebanese and Ukrainian flag or two! Not only will it send the message that we are in revolution against these black-robed potentates, it's the least we can do since I saw a couple of American flags being waved at the Lebanese demonstrations.

On the poll, I would like to select more than one answer.

I will try to be there, if I can not I would help with expenses.

There was something else last year where they cited foreign law, but I don't remember now what it was. Foreign law (European law) is all socialist, and it's a way for them to advance their liberal agendas that go outside of our laws.

"agents"

Oh brother! The justices have just aged and their liberal friends are proding them to lean more to the left - the reason being the liberals can see the writing on the wall - they know their time is short.

After the public gets a look at Mark Levin's book "Men in Black" - things are going to happen.

And .. I see today the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES has taken the bull by the horns and has initiated HR97 - which stops the USSC from using INTERNATIONAL LAW FOR THEIR DECISIONS. This is how it's done. The HR has the right to control what the court can and cannot do!!

The USSC is not allowed to be out there just making up stuff - the USSC is required to conform to the Constitution.

Even my hubby is all for marching over the Supreme Court's latest nonsense. Now I don't know if that means he would show up in DC for such an event. The ground might shake if that happened. He is very fired up, however.

When would this marching occur?
I would be tempted to march around the Supreme Court building seven times and blow a horn afterwards.

Agreed. Let's hope Frist isn't too weak kneed to invoke the nuclear option. RE: Going to the funeral in Tenn -- not sure if you have me confused with someone else -- I am in Seattle.

katieanna (Love thy neighbor as thy self)

Will you take our neighbor, please? Then YOU can love him. LOL Really MOST of our neighbors are wonderful. We call one of them Bumpass because he is like the Bumpass family in "A Christmas Story". He is so loud and obnoxious, and will be out mowing and bagging in his front yard at 8pm in the dark. He has the biggest lawn mower I have ever seen. Or he will work out in his garage with loud elec. equipment at 2 or 3 am. Good thing we don't get a lot of snow here, he would be out with a snow blower at 2 am. We try to get along with him, but he is so impossible. He has a beautiful sweet wife. And a Bumpass Jr. son. They drive about 60 MPH down this residential street. Everyone else is so quiet out here.

Of course few would condone capital punishment on a 5-year-old.

Well, we've already seen at least one person in this thread who's inability to see my problem with executing said 5 year old leads me to believe that he/she has no problem with it.

How about a 17-year-old who announces murderous intent, breaks into a house, ties up the occupant, takes her to a bridge, and throws her off? This is exactly the case SCOTUS was asked to rule on - not a kindergardener.

The problem is the need for a line in capital cases - and the problem that the line as currently drawn, and upheld by SCOTUS under the premise of vague international opinion, is past an age where the "child" can vote, drive, and certainly knows the consequences of murderous behavior.

We agree that there needs to be a line drawn. We agree on that much at least. I myself would just argue that the line should be the legal age of majority. Btw, as per your example above, the "child" in question would indeed be too young to vote, your example, not mine.

Oh, y'all have had lots. I read the threads, look at the pics, see y'all on C-Span...

We almost made it for the SBVT, but it was too late on a Sunday.

We'd have to come up from GA, but well worth it. The SCOTUS has really pushed our buttons.

Buffy, that must be a very difficult situation. Surely, he must understand others don't want to be awakened! I will tell you that if he doesn't take kindly to your gently reminding him that your family is asleep and the noise is a problem, then pray for him. The Lord will open an opportunity for him to relocate (smile). I will pray too, ok. Peace, friend!

Citing foreign laws and the progressive lean are the focus!! IMO We aren't the oldest, longest free country in history for no reason. We have been BECAUSE it works, not because it needs to be more like the rest of the world. If these progressives continue, we won't be the free country we have all known, for much longer. For me it's as simple as that! At the heart of this "progressive movement" are The Judges.

They keep saying liberals are progressive, and want to throw out outdated ideas and notions. Those ideas and notions, are what kept us free and what kept us the the oldest free nation in history! If throwing morals and conscience etc out the window worked, the Rome wouldn't have fallen. Other nations fell, because their's didn't work. Ours has worked for over 200 yrs, it isn't broke, they need to stop trying to break it.

I like Scalia also but on things like Judicial immunity and the Bar Association ( federal government protected)monopoly he has made it clear he is a "traditionalist" rather than a constitutionalist . I believe Thomas is our best bet in the court.

You're free to choose whoever you like - but I choose Scalia.

But .. I'd like to see some evidence of your claim: "he has made it clear he is a 'traditionalist'".

I prefer Sacalia because when he writes a dissent it makes total sense to even the most common person.
