Is it time for a March on the SCOTUS and the Judiciary and the Senate?

Is it time for a March on the SCOTUS and the Judiciary and the Senate?

Are you as fed up as I am over the bad decisions being handed down by the SCOTUS and throughout the judiciary? Are you tired of judicial activism? Are you tired of being ruled by the men in black robes? Is it time to remind the SCOTUS that We The People ARE the final arbiters of law and justice in this land?

Are you fed up with the weak-kneed Republican Senate? Are you ready to drop the nuclear option on the obstructionist Democrats? Are you fed up with Specter and the RINOs?

Is it time for us to rise up and march on Washington again? How many of you are willing to join me in another march to D.C. to straighten out these yahoos and remind them of who's in charge in this republic?

If they can do it in Lebanon, we can do it here!!

So a teenager is not considered mentally and emotionally developed enough to be culpable for killing a man, but a teenager IS mentally and emotionally developed enough to have an abortion?

No confused thinking there, no sir!

H.Res. 568, Reaffirmation of American Independence Resolution.

"Expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that judicial determinations regarding the meaning of U.S. laws should not be based on foreign judgments, laws, or pronouncements unless such foreign judgments, laws, or pronouncements are incorporated into the legislative history of laws passed by the House and Senate or otherwise inform an understanding of the original meaning of U.S. laws." Thanks Jim, You can FREEP the Supreme Court at 202-479-3000.

We should have a Senator and House Reps author legislation to invalidate this court decision because this case was not based on interpreting the Constitution.

It overturned 1989 SCOTUS precedent and Missouri Supreme Court precident in order to accomodate the UN Treaty of the rights of Children and Amnesty International.

Frist is the third stooge, we have had Dole and Lott.

So...a 5 year old recently killed his 3 year old sister here. Are you going to strap a crying 5 year old to the gurny and push the meds that will kill him? I for one have a major, major problem with that.

Please put me on the ping list for this. Hadn't expected to make a return trip to DC so soon after the inauguration, but this SC ruling is outrageous on so MANY levels... (sputter, fume).

The US Supreme Court is in contempt of the People.

Dan from Michigan in post 216
"the courts are generally immune to public opinion. That's the problem"

PlaneKt in post 226
"It's even worse that they cited international opinion and that they somehow think they have an Amazing Kreskin- like knowledge of our public opinion, even though it isn't reflected by the laws of those States."

Ok so the courts are immune to public opinion or are too influenced by it ?

The anti-war activities in this country, which have emboldened our enemies and those in this country who side with them, could have been completely neutralized.

If enough conservatives had shown up to peacefully protest and OUTNUMBER the anti-war protestors or conservatives held sufficient "support the troops" rallies with greater attendence than the anti-war groups, the press coverage for the anti-war rallies would have disappeared overnight. The anti-war groups would likely no longer exist in any meaningful fashion and would have never come close to the power they had in almost getting Dean the Dem nomination and almost getting Kerry elected.

Unfortunately, too many conservatives took the view that conservatives don't demonstrate, not even in a peaceful and orderly fashion.

I would respectfully ask that you consider whether conservatives would be wrong to hold a march of well-behaved well-groomed Americans peacefully pressing a point of view.

Incidentally, Free Republic's March for Justice in March of 1998 was attended by thousands and was instrumental in getting Clinton impeached.

For your consideration, see below threads, among many threads about that pivotal event in FR and US history. First thread still has photos from screen capture of C-Span images so that you, and all, may see that we don't look like "a bunch of out of work hippies".

Will add you to the Judicial Nominations ping list, which list will also be following developments on the march.

If interested in FR history, you might want to look at some of the old threads that I linked in #330 above.

Congress can!

Call, write, email, fax your congress persons and demand they do something with this rogue court. Remind them it's their job!!

Unless they uncrate these teenage hitmen straight off a cabbage boat from Kabul, I don't think we have too much to worry about as far as the allure of a lifetime in prison for most 17-yr-olds and younger in this country.

Scotus doesn't have an army. The states should just ignore them. If the president decides to enforce the courts edicts with military force, then let the second American revolution begin and we will rid ourselves of the left forever.

Most congressmen are lawyers hence more loyal the court than to America .

Notice for all his dissenting Scalia still respects the court having the final say . SCOTUS supremacy is a religion amongst lawyers. But good luck on your quest.

Wow, I agree with your last statement. A bunch of lawyers are not going to do anything about the Supreme Court probelm we have. It's the club and no one makes waves in the club.
