Hannity is like an old senator. He may have had some principle when he got where he is, but he is now far more concerned about collegiality, access to the old bull liberals and the media glitterati. Here in the SF Bay Area the Sean Hannity radio program is 17th in this market. Before you conclude that this is because this is a socialist enclave note that Michael Savage is #1.

Personally, I cannot listen to the guy anymore. His show is boring, and his ego is just too much. I've switched to The Savage Nation instead. Mike is more in line with my thinking.
I heard it on the way home form work. I still do like Sean but there are times he is too easy going although I do like his "Deliver Us From Evil" book. I know here in Freeperland, we have our disagreements and even knockdown, dragout fights, heck, I've had a few myself, but that shows that conservatives are not all monolithic. I didn't really care how Sean painted Free Republic, but it is his loss.
Like you, I'm more of a Savage type as well and along with Savage, Jim Quinn here in Pittsburgh is a fave of mine. Another host I liked a lot but hardly hear anymore or about was Chuck Harder.

Glad you posted this. Beat me to it.
Did Hannity mean "surrey with a fringe on top?"

mob of like-minded people Mob is the right word ;-) Welcome. Just ignore the loudmouths and the brain dead. They're easy enough to spot.

Thank you. I am a handsome devil, but I'll admit to cleaning myself up a bit for that particular shot.

Remember, it was RUSH who first made Ruth's Chris a nationally-known restuarant, and now Sean can't stop talking about it.

I predict he will get FReeped, realize what a STUPID mistake he just made, and have an on-air apology (of sorts) tomorrow. BTW, I used to listen to Sean, but haven't in several months. I just can't stand his patronization and marketing of books. At least when Rush does his show, his marketing is not done during the show content, but rather as seperate, distinct commercials.

I have no doubt that he has been bombarded with an inordinate amount of email or other feedback that origionated from some of the screw-ball kooks that post here, and/or claim to be "FReepers". The same thing has happened to Rush in the past. You are so right, once again. That's why FReepers need to chill out on this one.

This could mark the Jump The Shark moment for Hannity.

Thanks...I still like listening to Hannity, but he's simply trying to gain market share by criticizing the industry leader...it's a short-sighted marketing strategy.

Well, that's a little harsh. Heaven forbid that I be considered a little harsh.
That was actually being easy on him for me.

This coming from a guy who frequently has Ann Coulter and Pat Robertson on. If we're fringe what are they? Now I can listen to them. I quit listening to him because I got tired of the likes of Lanny Davis & Sharpton, etc.

Hannity is a boy doing a man's job. His heart is in the right place, but he lacks GRAVITAS!

Thanks, Old Friend. I've plugged Marc's screenname into the FR search function and am enjoying reading some of his posts.
The ultimate kick would be if he posted a comment on one of my Today Show threads!
