Some Hillary supporters say the former first lady may not make a bid for the White House after all.
Though initial polls show Sen. Clinton as the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination in 2008, U.S. News & World Report says Hillary may not seek the job.
Paul Bedard's "Washington Whispers" column in the latest edition of U.S. news reports that ". . . some friends and allies advise against placing bets that the former first lady will be the nation's 44th president."
Citing these close friends to Hillary, the magazine says Hillary has made no commitment to running, and some say she is not in the race at all.
"She's not running," one supporter told Bedard.
Bedard writes: "The thinking in the 'don't run' campaign is that Clinton is well aware of the partisan feelings she generates. 'People love her or they hate her,' says an adviser. 'There's very little gray area to gain voters in.'"
Others say that Hillary's campaign would quickly get mired in the same scandals that rocked her husband's administration.
How long can Hillary hold out in hiding her intentions?
Not long.
Political pundits say that with the presidential campaign now on a full four year cycle, Democratic candidates will be locking up big money supporters and Democratic operatives in key primary states.
If a candidate doesn't make clear their intentions early, they risk losing the party's movers and shakers to early runners.
Dick Morris believes Hillary is indeed running. He notes that the recent inauguration of the Clinton library was the soft kick off her national campaign. He oberved that though the library was about her husband's legacy, Hillary conducted most of the major media interviews.

Yeah right. And Michael Moore has turned down free food.

I hope he does run against her...

Why do you think she will have to answer any questions? She only speaks in front of carefully chosen and sympathetic "constituents".
If you think Kerry got a pass with the lame stream media, watch how they will bow before their queen.

Here you go!

Maybe in 10-20 years we'll be ready. I hope to God I'm wrong.
Half the world does not even recognize the legal status of women. They are merely chattel of the men they are with.
Being a Secretary of State is one thing. Being the President of The United States is another.
Women in the U.S. have it the best of women around the world.
Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox.
Look at the choices we have of eligible women who could be president, can you name 10?

LOL. Beautiful. Great job.
Hillary's expression is priceless.
Like she's saying, " Thanks to that idiot Kerry, now I gotta bake these damn cookies to get more power."

Did I miss something?
The last time the she-Hitler discussed the presidency, she said, "I have no intention of running."
Did she announce her "intention" since then?
This certainly is typical of the slimy tricks of these Marxists called the Clintons.

She will run. It's her last chance at a lifelong dream beyond the grasp of nearly all others.
She will lose. Unsympathetic historians have been diligently gathering & publishing dirt on her for 12 years (16 by the target election). The "Hillary Must Lose" side will make the "Bush Must Go" team look tame. She can't survive a regular electoral race.
She missed her chance. 2004 was the best opportunity: with Kerry melting & flubbing, she should have pulled all strings & favors to swap him out and her in within 60 days of the election, giving her supporters an emotional rush and her detractors silenced by confusion coupled with McCain-Feingold.
Kerry was opposed only for about 4 months.
Hillary's opponents are moving to oppose her for 4 years.
Having no inherent winning message, she can't uphold the political fight that long.

Even my (late) Irish grandmother would probably come out to vote against her.
Lady Macbeth.
She activates a deep and visceral contempt that can't even be articulated into words.
The democrats would be giving the GOP an early Christmas present if they decided to nominate Hillary Clinton for president four years from now.

I can see two scenarios where Hillary would win--a weak Republican nominee, or a strong third-party candidate drawing more votes from the Republicans than from the Democrats (like Perot did).
I'd like to think she'd be a sure loser, but four years is a long time to look ahead in politics (who in 1972 thought that the 1976 race would be between Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter?). About 2007 if it looks like Hillary can't be stopped from getting the nomination but is likely to lose the election we might see a lot of panic on the Democrat side...they would be looking at another 4 or 8 years in the wilderness.
