**You do know that Bush's IQ is higher than Kerry's. And I'm pretty sure Cheney's is right up there hovering around the top, too.**
I have no idea what Cheney's IQ is but I would take a wager that both Dick and Lynne Cheney's IQs are considerably higher than Kerry or Bush. The old media depict him so inaccurately at heart Cheney though from a fairly modest background is a natural intellectual as is his wife but with a great dollop of commonsense and knowledge of how the real world works.

Funny, isn't it? Those fools want to claim victory before the polls close, but when our side makes only a prediction, they lose their damn minds.LOL They "accidently" say Pres Elect Kerry and refer to THK as though she was First Lady, and then scream headlines and leak to the papers this prediction from Cheney. Our VP is priceless.

I missed the first bit of your post yes I love that description of Bush from Dick Morris "Bush play chess and Kerry plays checkers - I smile each time he says it. It about sums up Kerry intellectually.

**NH seems to be lost**
I may have got this wrong but I thought FOX was showing Bush in the lead in NH in poll tonight.

**My guess will be that he'll come close in some strong blue states**
My soap box here I have mentioned this on other threads as I come from England I always associate blue = Conservative and red = socialist. I understand that in 2000 the media decided red = Republican and blue = Democrat why I cannot imagine except a theory someone told me was to try to hide the socialist/communist type of leadings of the DemocRATS.
I think it is about time you Republicans claimed back your blue colour I just cannot imagine in England is someones suggested us Conservatives should be shown on a map as red or for that matter Labour to be shown as blue it just could not happen.
Possibly and trivial thing to mention but I feel that this is just another media erosion attach at into your party.

I can't explain why but I have felt all along that Bush will win by a solid 5 points. I hope Cheney and I are both right.
To: snugs
Just fate...usually the incumbent party is blue, the challenging party red. In 2000 this meant the Democrats got blue and Republicans red. The close results and discussion of the map lead to the red/blue state discussion over the past four years. It may not be changed this year because of it.

Lord, please let this Cheney prediction come true. This is music to my ears, as I have bad poll news all day - it seems to be tied from all news reporters. However, do we trust them? LOL

That has been my prediction as well:
GWB - 51
JFnK - 47
Assorted Weirdos - 2

On the other hand, Cheney's prediction could lead more Democrats to turn out and more Republicans to turn in. I think it would've been more helpful for Cheney to have just said it would be a nail-biter.

I'd personally like to sign up for vote suppression duty. Where do I report?

Welcome to FR.
Don't worry. We've got this one in the bag. Bush in a land-slide. Even people in his own party can't stand Kerry.

That's the kind of intelligence I admire the most: what works. Obviously, Ronald Reagan had it. Bush has it. Cheney has it. Kerry and Edwards don't. Their spouses are absolutely clueless.
By the way, check out the new t.v. ad by the group "Americans for Peace Through Strength." address is:
www.thestakesarehigh.org. It's absolutely awesome. Breathtaking! Especially since Kerry keeps name-dropping Reagan's name. Perfect comeback!

I've been saying Dubya wins with 52-46, or 51-45 spreads, and 325 +/- 25 EVs, for a long while.
On to victory!

Hmmm--this makes me ask two questions:
1. Since the MSM never reports anything accurately, what did Cheney actually say, in what context?
2. Since Cheney has obviously considered how the MSM is going to react to him saying this, what's he hoping the effect will be?
