Rush is reporting that the docs came from the Kerry campaign and that the campaign knew that were fakes.
Sorry, I bin out werkin'.
They originally said that Kerry went on his tour with the agreement of NASA that NO Pictures would be taken. None. That was until pictures of Kerry posing with Glenn, that senator from FL who was an astronaut, and others. Once POSED pictures showed up they had to revert to the leak angle.
I just heard that lib get the ZOT - Rush had his number. HAAAA!! HAAAA!! Had to be a DUmmy caller.
You mean like how can you be so blatantly politically biased and expect to be taken seriously as a "journalist"?
That is an important question that deserves an answer.
One wonders if the school's definition of "diverse" includes the word "conservative". I expect not.
---DAN RATHER, CBS NEWS ANCHOR: I know that this story is true. I believe that the witnesses and the documents are authentic. We wouldn't have gone to air if they would not have been. There isn't going to be -- there's no -- what you're saying apology?---
Excellent! Then we'll hardball this story until election day you smug idiot! After that we'll see you in court!
Yeah that Brad guy was a piece of work wasnt he?
"why is Bush cutting military pay? why is he reducing vets benefits?"
Isn't that cute. John Boy trying to play Pit Bull.
Didn't John Sasso, or whatever his name is, recently brought on the Kerry campaign, get dumped from the Dukacas campaign because of a dirty trick that blew up in his face?
This is simply delicious!......
The VWR(FR & FNC)C is uncovering the VLW(kerry/media)C
Now happening before our very eyes!
When Brit Hume looks over his reading glasses at members of the panel, we know he is angry. It is the "look" many of us recieved from our parents when we are a c**t hair away from crossing the line.
Brit has been giving many of those looks lately. He has also been talking about Old Media vs. New Media. He has also written recently how he believes he can keep his conservative leaning from influencing his professional duties. I can attest to that. He does cover stories unfavorable to the right and the GOP.
When the Swiftees came to the front burner, he did something Dan Rather neglected to do. Brit Hume, as a disclaimer, mentioned from the start he has known Kerry since the age of 5.
I believe he has become disgusted with the state of his profession. He is a man of honor and integrity. I can't help but think of his son who committed suicide. No one knows why his son chose the path he did, but if it was my son, I would fight for what I believed in so his death was not in vain.
I believe in my heart of hearts he is a man of honor and integrity who really cares about what he does and made a decision to do what he can do to get his profession back on track. He does this not by writing books about bias. Don't get me wrong, Bernie Goldberg did this country a wonderful service writing his book. It is just not the path Brit Hume has chosen.
He does this by going for the truth regardless of where it leads. The more blatant the old media bias becomes, the more determined Mr. Hume becomes to restore honor to journalism--with the greatest tool of all---HONESTY and TRUTH.
"Dan Rather's career just got flushed by the internet. "
Hmmmm. . . Anyone remember the first video to appear on MTV -- back when it actually played music videos?
Internet killed the CBS star . . .
Internet killed the CBS star . . .
It may well be the exposure of the fact that the New Democratic Party is actually the Communist Party Marxist Socialist Workers Party hiding behind the "Democrat" name...and all of those folks who have infiltrated it will be and are being exposed.
Once the traitors are uncovered, perhaps the party will get back to the party of Zell Miller?
Even if Karl Rove set up the DNC who passed them along to CBS doesn't mean that they had to be stupid enough to fall for them.
He sure wasn't the brightest bulb in the room - well, for a DU'er to be bright is quite a big s t r e t c h
IM aware of all that. I was parroting "Brad" the Dim caller
Excellent! It bears repeating!
---I found this late last night. Some things have been clarified, but a lot of it still isn't: Note #19
1-- proportional spacing not generally available
2 -- superscripts not generally available
3 - small "th" single element not generally available
4 - Smart quotes. Curved apostrophes and quotation marks were not available
5-The blurriness of the copy indicates it was recopied dozens of times, tactic of forgers
6--Signature block. Typical authentic military signature block has name, then rank, then on the next line the person's position. This just has rank beneath the name.
7--Margins. These look like a computer's unjustified default, not the way a person typing would have done it.
8 -- Date usually with three letters, or in form as 110471.
9 - words run over consistent with word processor
10 - may be a Times Roman or similar font not generally available then (per Haas Atlas)
11 - signature looks faked
12 - no errors and whiteout
13 - no letterhead
14 - exact match for Microsoft Word Processor
15 - Paper size problem, Air Force and Guard did not use 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper until the 1980s.
16 - Overlap analysis is an exact match
17 - absence of hyphens to split words between lines, c/w 1970's typewriter.
18 - 5000 Longmont #8 in Houston Tx. does not exist
19 - Box 34567 is suspicious, at best. The current use of the po box 34567 is Ashland Chemical Company, A Division of Ashland Oil, Incorporated P. O. Box 34567 Houston
20 - it would have been nearly impossible to center a letterhead with proportional spacing without a computer.
21 - Bush's grade would "normally" be abbreviated "1Lt" not "1st Lt"
22 - Subject matter bizarre
23 - Air Force did not use street addresses for their offices, rather HQ AFLC/CC, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433.
24 - kerning was not available
25 - In the August 18, 1973 memo, Jerry Killian purportedly writes: "Staudt has obviously pressured Hodges more about Bush. I'm having trouble running interference and doing my job." but General Staudt, who thought very highly of Lt. Bush, retired in 1972.
26 - Language not generally used by military
27 - Not signed or initialed
28 - Not in any format that a military person would use, e.g. orders not given by Memo.
29 - Document has background marks all over the place, and looks to be copies of copies with repeatable marks. ---
Earth to Dan Rather. There is no way in DNC hell that these documents are anything but very poor forgeries. Get a clue!
But, heh, if Rather wants to totally trash himself who are we to stand in his way?
