Big Buckeye Bounce! CNN Reports Bush Now up by 8% in Ohio, was Down 2% Pre-Convention
CNN - Inside Politics
Posted on 09/08/2004 1:25:05 PM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest
Paula Zahn just laid the bad [for them] news on Inside Politics host Judy Woodruff: in the just-released CNN/Time/Gallup poll, among likely voters W now leads by 8% in Ohio, 52% W, 44% Kerry. This compares with a 2% Kerry lead prior to the convention. In other words, W has had a 10% bounce.
An 11% bounce turns up among registered voters in Ohio: from Bush down 10% to Bush leading by 1%.
Zahn teased what she said were some "very interesting results" in the latest poll in Pennsylvania, Missouri and Washington, but said she was holding off on reporting them till her show this evening.

Pat Caddell, on O'Reilly's show last night, said that Kerry was "still bleeding," and that polls next week would likely be even worse for him.He also called CNN "the Clinton News Network. It's always been the Clinton News Network! I was stuck in an airport Thursday night and could only get CNN; I had to turn it off because it was like a funeral dirge!"
This from a hardcore Democrat! (One of the rare honest, principled ones still remaining.)

I saw Caddell on FNC today, and he referred to CNN as Clinton News Network. Caddell is one of my favorite Democrats. Then again, I was saying the same thing about Susan Estrich until her hate-filled column of last week. Hope my "favorite Dem" list isn't akin to the Sports Illustrated curse.

Not to mention Kitty Kelley. Kerry may believe that flinging more dirt at Bush is going to save him, but it won't -- it will only show his desperation.

The Columbus Al-dispatcha is using precinct 62-h to do polling. Claims it represents the whole state. Neglects Delaware County - the fastest growing County in the state.

LOL!
I'm imagining the camera lens a la the live Frances reports...

I think the key here is the momentum swing. We may have a 1% lead among reg. voters, but that's an 11 point swing. This will continue to grow unless Kerry can actually come up with a plan for his presidency, which he hasn't to date?
Can anyone name a single platform this guy is running on (except Vietnam)?

I am willing to wager that Bush is up by 5 in PA, in some poll yet to be released.
Florida is going to be the tough call. How can you accurately poll a state were people dont have electricity or other services.

the POLLsters should simply lay off Florida for a while. It is ridiculous to try and poll right now.

I'm imagining the camera lens a la the live Frances reports... Liberal journalist clinging to a lamp pole as the hurricane of bad polling news threatens to blow him away.

Caddel has said he really doesnt like Kerry and kerrys teams of strategist, he called one of them one of the biggest asses he has ever known and biggest liars to. Which sent Estrichen into a hiss.

"all of the jobs lost in Ohio must belong to democrats"
this would be consistent with my experience with democrats...except it differs in that they were ever working at all....
on a series note, this is an important poll. this is one that matters. jfk's head must be spinning.

Zahn teased what she said were some "very interesting results" in the latest poll in Pennsylvania, Missouri and Washington, but said she was holding off on reporting them till her show this evening. Well we already know Missouri is turning into a bloodbath in favor of Bush... Penn is only a story if Bush is gaining ground. Washington would be a major surprise if Kerry is crumbling there, too.

Lies! Zogby says Bush trails by 2,658 pints in Ohio! < /DUh > No, surprisingly enough I think Zogby has Bush up with quite a lot in Ohio - in a poll made just prior to the convention. At least that's what was stated in one of those sites showing the electoral college.
Not the one COURAGE is using.

What are the new swing states? Mass, CT, VT and New York j.k. Seriously, I think the swing states now are Missouri, Iowa, Oregon, New Mexico, Minnesota, Maine and West Virginia. Notice, that's 2 2000 Bush state in that list. We're playing on Kerry's ground from now on out I believe. It would be nice to have PA and it is moving toward Bush. However, I think the best chances for state switches right now are Iowa (popular Rep Senate candidate, would take alot of ticket switching) and Minnesota (something happened there in 2002)
