Speaking of NOT hearing the name "Osama," received this in my email box tonight:

Osama bin Laden has been captured in Pakistan?
(02.09.2004)

We have received reports from US sources that Pakistani security forces have captured Osama bin Laden.

According to these sources, bin Laden was captured not far from Chitral in the Northern part of Pakistan (between Chitral and Peshawar), approximately 4 weeks ago.

This has not yet been confirmed, but we are told the information comes from a source that has provided reliable reports in the past.

We received a report almost 2 weeks ago suggesting that two high level Al-Qaeda operatives were being held in Pakistan and it was believed that their capture was to be announced to coincide with the Republican convention. Whether one of these is Osama bin Laden is uncertain.

Be careful...there is an e-mail going around that claims this and then dumps a very potent virus on your computer when you open it.

Was reading the post, rolling my eyes, thinking 'oh sure', until I saw your name! LOL

Would not want our President to keep quiet the capture of Osama for any reason, tho, especially political in nature. And I do not think that it is in his nature to do this...if it is true, the delay in announcing this could be due to confirmation and security reasons, perhaps even not wanting to complicate touchy 'doings' in Iraq.

The President has seemed absolutely joyous lately...hmmmm. Have been attributing this to large crowds at his venues and the SBVT veterans.

Hurrah a million times over if the Pakistani troops have nailed this murdering piece of sludge.

I actually believe that Dubya could get away with timing such an announcement with the GOP convention, regardless of the predictable (and really, really loud) howls that would come from the Dems and their allies in the liberal newsrooms, but I don't believe that he would.

Loose Lips???

wee FTN-brotherhood birdy told me in my sleep that there would be numerous DNA tests, finger print tests, etc tests ... is it really him tests

no announcement until well AFTER election day to a congressional joint session with airline employees & first responders in the balconies ... I also picture Bush trying to tell some Polish jokes for some reason ... why a sitting US President would want to tell Polish Jokes during a Congressional Joint Session announcing the capture of Osama is beyond me ... perhaps there will no longer be anymore Polish Jokes after Thanksgiving ... GROM only knows .. wasn't GROM the Conan The Barbarian God???

Remember that Osama is a symbol of a larger problem. Offing Admiral Yamamoto in the Solomon Islands did not "end the war" but it was a significant morale boost

imagine the embarassment if it is an "ooops .. it is his look-alike"

OBL captured????? Great news!!

Hope it's true. Now all we need to find are the WMDs in Syria and the Dems don't have a leg to stand on - not that they ever really did.
