I don't really get it. This author uses the whole column to say that Kerry lied, then says it's "too extreme" to say Kerry lied.

Is fabricated a better word for some reason?

How pathetic is that! It takes a SMALL man who refuses that he makes mistakes. Even professional athletes occasionally screw up and ADMIT it. But NOT Kerry. He has to be PERFECT at all times. This is why he can't back off that PHONY Cambodia story. All he did was revise the date from December to January so he could include Richard Nixon in his narrative (although it is a stretch since Nixon was only President for 10 days in January, 1969). This failure to admit error will cost the Ketchup Boy bigtime.

Kerry made his 4 1/2 months' tour of duty the centerpiece of his qualifications to be President. That is about the length of time for a summer job during college. It happened about the time many of us "baby boomers" were in college. So who among us thinks his own college summer job qualifies him to be President?

I personally believe blow-hard, bad judgment Kerry is not just a very inadequate and pathetic person. He is also psychotic. He actually believes in his delusions that he is Martin Sheen being sent on a secret mission to Cambodia in his own Apocalypse Now.
