The Democrat National Committee has prepared a full-scale assault against the Vietnam Veterans for Truth to draw their character and veracity into question, according to one anonymous source inside the DNC. The campaign of character assassination is scheduled to coincide with the release of the book Unfit for Command which reveals inconvenient facts for the Kerry campaign.
We have prepared what we call Brown Books that contain damaging military records, personal credit histories, medical histories, psychiatric histories, divorce records, you name it, our source told us. The Brown Books are so-called because of their distinctive plain brown covers, which contain no words. Some books have already been delivered to Kerry-friendly reporters. Others are on their way, our source told us. When asked if we could have a copy, our source declined, saying there is a limited number of Brown Books and they have been carefully inventoried to control in whose hands the books ended up.
Ultimately the Brown Books will end up in the hands of pro-Kerry news agencies and reporters. According to our source, who demanded to remain anonymous for fear of retribution, The New York Times is already on the hook to run a negative series on the Vets, as is the Boston Globe, which is owned by the Times. (Editors Note: The Globe has already been caught attempting to attack the veracity of George Elliott, Kerrys commanding officer in Vietnam.)
In addition, the DNC has deployed a six member team from their press shop whose sole responsibility will be to spin and counter-spin stories about the members of Vietnam Veterans for Truth with pro-Kerry media entities, like the Times.
When asked if this was just another example of John Kerry slandering Vietnam Vets like he did in 1971 as a member of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War our source snapped, No! This is warfare. The only way were going to get out of this is to force everyone to question their motives and credibility.
If they want to spread rumors and stories about John Kerry, well spread rumors and stories about them. And some of the things they did in Vietnam were a lot worse than what they say John Kerry did, our source concluded ominously.
Stay tuned. We will keep you posted as this nasty story develops. Posted on Sunday, August 08 @ 14:36:36 EDT by admin
The malignant narcissists in the DNC will stop at NOTHING to regain power and hearing the term Brown Book was chilling.
I hope the Swifties have an excellent attorney, tape record every conversation because the blackmail is going to be forthcoming any day now and watch their backs.
Yes, it is jungle warfare all over again.
Is this his current band of brothers? Just before kerry's early departure with his medals. As stated; "Worried that his crew members would be killed, Kerry "arranged for them to receive a safer assignment". Michael Kranish, Globe Staff, 6/16/2003 Candidate in the making.[Part Two] Also has been posted that; On the day Kerry received the Silver Star. He put his crew in for medals also. 2 Bronze Stars w/combat V and 3 Navy Commendation medals w/combat V were awarded based on Kerry's lies in addition to his Silver Star.
It is, and that's when the enemy is most dangerous.
It makes me all the more suspicious that the anonymous source claiming the DNC has released illegal personal documents to the media under that title is, itself, disinformation. My bet is there is no such book, but anonymous source is hoping to intimidate the swifties into silence with this lie.
Amen to that !
Let's see, if I have the facts:
big litigating vp candidate,
sue you and your children into oblivion
brown books for brown shirts
squirrely bast**ds
Simply being an Officer gives him the clout. There are other requirements met along the way, but that's the bottomline.
You are totally wrong. I think Kerry's lies, treason and flip -flop (it's a terrible, criminal war to it was the setting of his heroism-- can you be a hero in an illegal, immoral war?)on Nam kills him in places like PA, OH, MO, and a dozen other critical places.
Kerry's antiwar activism is fine if he doesn't waver from it. He did. In addition, we have active wars going on right now. His decision to refight the Vietnam war is seen by many as a dangerous diversion.
Bingo. Of 254 Vietnam veterans, what percentage of them would not have a blip on their credit report, divorce records, medical histories, or psychiatric histories that they would prefer not be made public? This is an intimidation tactic desgined to terrorize. Someone needs to pay for this, whether it's true or not.
If it's such a good thing to take on Kerry over Vietnam, why is Bush not doing it?
Sorry if this has been posted already, I haven't been able to read the entire thread.
Just where and how did the DNC get IRS records? Psychiatric records? What has happened to confidentiality in this country? And the leftists are worried about the Patriot Act.
I hope the Swifties sue the heck out of the DNC. They need to hold a press conference to discuss this disgusting display by the DNC. And they need to watch their backs.
With regard to the background you posted and the above verbage, thank you.
The socialist rats true colors are bleeding and it goes back to 1939!!
Who is the "we" you speak of that should "stay away from this," and what is "this"? A bunch of guys went out and raised some money, made an ad, and ran it. They didn't ask the GOP, they didn't ask "us," and they apparently did not seek your approval either. So now what?
It's too late to unring this bell. Either the Swift Vets bring down Kerry, or the media succeeds in painting Kerry as the victim of a "Republican dirty trick." Do you want what's behind Door #1, or Door #2? Do you see a way to get to Door #3?
Not Kerry. He is making it the cornerstone of his campaign (an odd thing for him to do considering his VVAW activism).
He put the light on it, and now we find out that he got out of Nam (early and for curious reasons.) People start wondering what was up. And then you got a lot of people saying he ain't no hero. That's huge.
Kerry's people know the ad is so damaging that's why they are waging a scorched earth campaign against real heroes.
You don't know what you're talking about.
It cuts into the heart of his campaign. Then when you talk about Iraq he is done. Kerry will be denied the refuge of Vietnam. He can't say, "Yeah, my record in the Senate is lousy, but I went to Nam" "Yeah, I voted against the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, but I went to Nam"
Nam was always a mixed bag for him given his incredibly questionable antiwar actions. Now we know he was there for a little amount of time, he cheated to get medals, used his medals to get out early, went hardcore antiwar to make a name for himself politically, threw away his medals, and now all these years later he is running on those medals and acting like Nam was WWII. It paints a really bad picture. he looks like an opportunist and a phony. It reeks.
Well, just a few ideas off the top of my head.
1) Write papers and news organizations about what is occuring.
2) Flood the DNC/Kerry staff with reactions to what they aare attempting. Same with any person that seks to discredit these men.
3) Donate to the SwiftBoat vets so they have the funds to continue hitting the airwaves and respond to legalities that arise.
4) Talk to the people you are around about Kerry's past, specifically how he came to the national stage by maligning Vietnam vets, and seeks to do so again.
5) Be creative. Make up Flyers, bumper stickers, become a one man/woman protester. Here's an idea, call into radio stations and dedicate a song to these vets. Think outside the box.
Just a few suggestions but the bottomline is that these vets knew the assault that was going to be unleashed. They are doing this to get the truth out about Kerry's past. It's up to us to follow their lead and make our voices heard for their sakes. With that in mind it wouldn't hurt to write them letters/E-Mails of encouragement.
