The day before the event starts isn't the time to be running exercises, though. If they needed to practice such a scenario, it would have been done weeks or months ago.
Whatever this is (if it's anything,) I don't think it's a drill.

"From WHAT airplane?" Just speculation, but if the story is true, it may have been a special operations HALO (high altitude low opening) insertion from a C-17 (military transport jet).

well, the media is asleep in Boston at this hour!
there was an arrest of a male middle eastern by the Secret Service earlier today, they thought he was survielling their camera system....after the did a face scan, they didnt release him...
