Here are the big dirty little secrets about the election, all guaranteed to be true and (almost) all guaranteed to make every one of our sources angry.
. . .
3. A lot of Democrats including some of the smartest ones we know look at the latest polling data and claim to think that the election is all but over.

That's how it reads to me
Bush already ran a three month campaign of ads in about 18 swing states to expose Kerry's record. It wound up a couple of weeks ago. Big $$$.
I am getting calls daily fron RNC. I give the 15th of every month.
Apparently, my take on this line is different from the first group of posters. It sounds to me like an admission by (unnamed) Democrats that Kerry really hasn't caught on, the Dem spin on things isn't sticking, and big, election-making issues are slipping away from them and going into Bush's corner, and, electorally, Bush is looking tough to beat. It sounds to me like they're admitting it's looking grim for them this November.
The problem with the 'approval' polls is that they are weighted heavily Dem. SO the idea that GWB has an approval in the 40s is just wishful manipulated thinking.
Rassmusen has GWBs approval on the economy sinking by 4 points, though nothing but good economic news has been heard for the past week+. So, one can take away the idea that the Dems are getting discouraged, and it is affecting their outlook, ie, gloomy. Like their candidate. Very gloomy, woe is us type thinking.
this should speak VOLUMES for a fraud alert.
Can we start consolodating informaiton about electronic voting machines and how fraud is done?
Hands down, that was the weirdest and most potentially disturbing item on the list.
I thought they were making fun of reporters only noticing the one type.
"Bush's early attacks on Kerry as a 'flip-flopper' really stuck."
I don't think it was Bush attacks that got him that image. Unlike how Bush has been labeled as stupid, Kerry really deserves his characterization, and it's been apparent enough for most people to pick up on.
The economic news is terrific, but public perception of the economy always lags the actual performance. Hopefully that will be turning around by late summer.
What is it with Democrats always talking about how "smart" they are?
***
Really. They do have a superiority complex that reaks of insecurity, huh? If you're that smart, it should be obvious without you having to tell us.
Condi Rice has an IQ of 185 -- a child piano prodigy attending college at age 15 -- but you have to dig this up about her because she won't tell you. (Neither will the media since she's not Hillary.)
not so...
Maine is no cinch.

"8. Nearly every political reporter in America is having the same experience they keep finding Republicans who say they will never vote again for President Bush (over the the war and the deficit, usually) but they have a heck of a time finding anyone who voted for Gore in 2000 who are now certain that they will vote for Bush (and Gore apparently won the popular vote)."

Reporters also keep finding buildings on fire, murders, and freeway pile-ups. That doesn't mean we're all about to die.
From your mouth to God's ears especially if there are patriotic Americans stationed along the perimeter with weapons of every sort to shoot into the burning cities.
