Are Democrats welcome here?
Posted on 05/06/2004 9:09:25 AM PDT by joe_northrop
Is anyone of the Democratic persuasion welcome here, or are you crazy Republicans going to kick me off? Do any of you know how freaking ridiculous things are getting with George Bush in office? Let's do the list: assaults the environment, rising unemployment, rising gas prices, rising hatred of us across the globe, a phony war with over 700 Americans dead, POW torture, overtime pay almost done away with.....the list goes on and on. It's CRAZY.

POW torture for a RAT naturally is about us treating the terrorists badly
Not much RAT outcry against the POW torture and gang sodomy rapes against our severely wounded female soldiers...
Why is that?

Hi Joe, if you want to debate....you need to respond to you own post. This forum is not like DU where it takes hours to get a response. This thread could reach the 300 mark quickly. You have many folks to respond to already. I will wait to see if that happens before addressing you further.

I concur. It's not often that books are treated well in filmland.

Joe
I am fairly new to this site as well, and am far more to the center than most here. I think you will find most courteous, however many will simply bash you. This is a very conservative forum and in my opinion could often use a dissenting/opposing viewpoint in to enliven the discussion. You'll have to have very thick skin and make sure to bring your facts. I for one hope you stick around.

Consider that Kerry is the alternative.
Consider that Kerry is the best the Democrats have to offer.
Consider that Kerry can't even make up his mind about most issues of substance.
Consider that Kerry advocates giving up the sovereignty of the US over to Koffi at the UN.
Consider that Kerry insists on giving up the security of the US over to the UN and NATO.
Considering who Kerry is and what he stands for, Bush doesn't seem quite as bad.

Joe,
There is nothing phony about a war in which Americans die to preserve your freedom.
Globally, terrorists attacks have reached their lowest point since the beginning of the Clinton Administration.
You can't have a democratic republic in an environment that is disrupted with terror every day. When was the last time we were attacked?

Just think about it. If Gore had won his own home state we wouldn't be talking about President Bush today.
The about democrats is this: If an event is good for America, it's bad for democrats.
I have a few questions:
Why did Bill Jeff not take Osama bin Laden into custody? Ijaz Mansoor gets to talk about that tomorrow to the 9/11 Commission
Why are you not angry about the Gorelick memo? Her signature was on the very policy that the communist party was attempting to stick on the Bush administration.
Why did the press justify the Bosnian war with the "ethnic cleansing" clause, but they don't use the same thing in the war? Consider the mass graves.
Why did Bill Jeff put so much time into prosecuting a war on Microsoft, when he should have been prosecuting a war on Osama bin Laden.
In the end history will tell that Bill Jeff was asleep on the job. How about them apples?

I hear crickets. Do you guys hear crickets? I hear a chorus of crickets. He's probably back on DU chuckling to his buddies and bragging that he crashed our site. Or recess was over and he had to get off the computer and go back to class.

Well, Democrats are allowed, but only if they can debate in a civil, reasoned fashion. We already have our token uncivil Democrat, her name is Murrymom.

rising unemploment
How was it quoted the other day ...oh yea.
Clinton's vaunted economy, with its skyrocketing stock-market and spectacular 5.6% 1996 unemployment rate (which of course puts George W. Bush?s dismal 2004 5.6% unemployment rate to shame).
To: joe_northrop
The first thing you need to do, is to stop parroting the DNC BS that you just posted.
Nobody in his right mind believes those things, including right minded democrats, which we do have on this forum.
You cannot make statements like those you made without proof of same.
If you have that proof, (which you don't) then post it and we will argue the facts.
We will not, and cannot argue inuendo, and that is what you have offered.
Put some facts on the table!

Democrats are welcome here. We would be honored if Zell Miller signed in and participated. IDIOTS are not welcome here' we have better things to do with our time.
From your comments, it strikes me that you are in the second category. Zot. Well, it's back to DU where idiots who are apparently Democrats DO take each other's twaddle seriously.
Have a nice day.
