t is very likely that Hillary Rodham Clinton is going to run for Vice-President of the United States in 2004.
Inside the Washington, DC Beltway, the "professional Republicans" do not believe she will run; instead, the conventional wisdom is that she will wait until 2008 and run for the Presidency.
Guess what? These are the very same people who, back in 1992, never thought then-President George H.W. Bush could possibly lose to a draft-dodging, pot-smoking newcomer named Bill Clinton. So they took Clinton lightly and never even attacked his atrocious record in Arkansas!
Then, in 2000, it happened again. When Congressman Rick Lazio ran against Hillary for the US Senate in New York, his campaign was unprepared and afraid to attack her ultra-liberal record.
These two traits over-confidence and fear of attacking Hillarys record are prescriptions for a national disaster: her election this year as Vice-President of the United States.
We can not allow that to happen!
We at the StopHillaryPAC.com are not going to let it happen again!
Right now the Bush Campaign is focused on how to defeat John Kerry. They are not taking Hillary seriously as a Vice-Presidential candidate.
Bill and Hillary Clinton are determined to manipulate the Democratic Party over the next few months until Kerry's running mate has been decided. During this time, Billary will make sure she is in prime contention to run on a Kerry/Clinton national ticket!
If Kerry & Hillary win, we have a national crisis of the first degree, and we could be forced to deal with a Hillary Presidency as early as 2008 as she makes the smooth transition from Vice-President to Presidential candidate.
If she loses? Well, there's no shame in that! Franklin Roosevelt probably did not think his early Vice-Presidential loss was that bad, as he went on to become a four-term President.
We must nip this threat in the bud! We are going to do what those unprepared politicos should be doing: preparing a national campaign ready to begin the very minute Hillary announces she is running for Vice-President.

I honestly don't know what to expect on this matter, what Hil can/will do. You're right in that she holds sway over many of her dem comrades. It's almost voo-dooistic in my opinion. Nothing will surprise me at this juncture.

You just don't have a clue.
If She and Kerry did get elected, Kerry would choose someone else to be his VP in 2008. He would do it at the convention after he had the nomination for 2008 sewed up. Hillary would be SOL. Kerry would not allow her to hold office while undercuting him from 2008 to 2012. Otherwise Kerry like Ike,Reagan, and Clintoin could pick a nominee to be his poltical heir. Kerry and the Kennedy clan would not likey choose Hillary. More likely Kerry would pick a Kennedy.
And if Kerry would be defeated this fall, it would take him about 10 seconds to start blaming his defeat on Hillary. That would really help her 2008 chances.
But the worst would be if Kerry won and then fired her before the 2008 run. Hillary would then have all the power of a former VP out of office and done for in 2012. Nothing like a resume that contains a line that says "Fired by President J Fing Kerry in 2008"
The only reason to run for VP is to get name recognition for a later run or to serve the nation like Dick Cheney. Hillary has no desire to serve J.F Kerry. Hillary has plenty of name recognition now. Ask Joe Lieberman what a help it is to be a defeated VP.
The last thing Hillary wants is to be someone John Kerry can fire in the late summer of 2008 or blame in the late fall of 2004.

So long as kerry and GWB are near neck and neck - a Hillary ticket would amount to a landslide.
All they need to do is have JFK announce that he is stricken with some medical or familial issues (like a divorce) so that hitlery can leap into the breach.
There is NO ONE ELSE who could fill the bill and with a close contest between a real live leader and a real live simpering twit, a better twit would probably carry the day.

Clinton was on
Larry King last week.......
and is scheduled to be on Letterman this week.
She's up to something, alright!

"So, unless he refuses said nomination, he will be the candidate. Of course, if he turns up in Ft. Marcy Park.......?? hmmmmm. "I expect they will let him have the nomination. But they need to get his support low enough so that he will succomb to pressure to step aside at the last moment "for the sake of the party".
Hillary can't stand a protracted campaign. Too much time to drag up her's and Bill's record and she's toast. I don't think there will be fowl play. They will just keep offering up dirt until it's clear he can't win. Then they will get Kerry to really sling the dirt and try to damage Bush even though they know it will damage Kerry as well. Then Kerry will step aside and Hillary will come in as the end as the reluctant candidate doing the party a favor.

I agree with you, there is an agenda out there. Broder in the Washington Post wrote today
This is not a new problem for Kerry. As Boston Globe reporters Michael Kranish, Brian Mooney and Nina Easton write in their newly published biography of the senator, despite instances where Kerry showed himself "a lawmaker willing to stand up to prevailing political winds . . . he is trailed by a reputation for political opportunism. . . . Unlike many who are driven to succeed in public life by a core belief system, the arc of Kerry's political career is defined by a restless search for the issues, individuals and causes to fulfill a nearly lifelong ambition" for the White House.
This isn't news, it is well known about Kerry. The question is how he emerged from the politically dead to gain the endorsement of the leading newspaper in Iowa. From the standpoint of a Democrat, much better cases could have been made for Gephardt, Dean as an anti-war candidate or Edwards as a young charismatic newcomer. I see McAuliffe behind those scenes. Having stacked their primaries to avoid a bloody primary process, the candidate who came out of Iowa was always going to have a huge advantage. Why would he favor Kerry? Because he was the most flawed, the least likely to have a passionate base of loyalists.
All of the cards are in the Clinton's hands right now.

By law all delegates won by Kerry in primary or caucus elections must vote for Kerry on the first ballot.
Kerry has enough of these votes to win on the first ballot.
Kerry would have to refuse the nomination for her to have a chance to win.
And anyone that thinks Kerry can be intimidated has not looked at his actions in the Senate. As long as Kerry had one chance in 50 million to win he would not drop out.
Kerry would be more likely to stay andlose and then blame his loss on the Clintons.

I can't imagine hillary agreeing to run for vice president. But I still expect her to run for president in 2004.
How will she do it? Kerry can easily be pushed aside one way or another. And the economy can easily be sabotaged, with help from her friend Alan Greenspan or maybe through her international friends in China, India, and Europe.

You make a strong case. But if Kerry won't knuckle under to blackmail and extortion, he'd better not fly in any small planes.

She is smart, she is not an attractive candidate for President. There is the "do you really want a female for CIC" crowd even if they are qualified...
Hillary has a record.....
Hillary has suddenly become a hawk, but spent years hating the military. She has made as many diehard enemies as she has diehard friends.
I am with you as far as what the dems will nominate and garner votes for...the citizens do disappoint me at times!

I believe, as a matter of coping, that Democrats succeed for the same reason that lawyers so often succeed in ruining whatever they touch...
they appeal to the worst in a person, and praise that worst, and make it good. The politics of resentment uses the appeal to the Inner Creep--the envious, spiteful little monster inside all of us.
I'm not an Ayn Rand fanatic, but I found much in her novels unforgettable--in particular her villains, a portrayal of Evil in everyday life.

There was a good article in the Wall Street Journal this week on the Canadian socialized medicine and its inherent problems. It would be a good article to save and reference because Hillarycare was very similar. I don't have an on-line subscription to the WSJ, so I can't help. Besides we are very busy moving right now.

Folks, forget about Hillary Clinton running as Kerry's VP. Kerry is such a weak sister, waffler and master of the lie that he is crumbling fast! The guy is an absolute zero. If he continues downward, the "Traitor" Democrat Party will have no choice but to "draft" someone to run this year. If I were Karl Rove, I would be putting together a battle plan to take on Hillary Clinton. IMHO, I do not believe that Hillary will run. She will wait for 2008 when her odds of winning are much higher. But, with the 911 causing Clintons, one never knows!

Of course, the Republican party is not called the "stupid party" for nothing,Republicans really are stupid. No matter how often they are shown, told, or whatever, they still believe that people are basically good and mean well.
The Republicans might - but there are enemies.
Republicans can see enemies on foreign shores, but they can't see them at home. Democrats see enemies at home, but not on foreign shores.

Oh, how I hope you are right!! Hillary and Bill are not the Powerful POTUS and Partner in Crime, (two 'fer! gotcha!)they usta was. Hillary is unelectable without a whole lot of fraud going on, as she was in NY, but the POTUS was huffing and puffing and blowing your resistence down.
The Great Grifter is sorta out of work! He and his gargoil minions have steadily over the last 10 years decimated the Democratic Party, big time! Gore is not well loved, Kerry is a Gore wannabe and lookalike dork. The Dems were in a huff that the Grifter had not carried the day in 2000. Again they have missed the point. He should have, but he didn't and killed The VP in the process. Killed the Democratic Party too, although the dying is taking awhile. A Dork too many.
Hillary can't win, she can't take the glare and is not likely to leave herself open to humiliation. Not our Screecher for power. Even those who are Clintonites might back up at kissing Hillary's hand over an 8 year span. She has none of Bill's slippery charm, only the feminists love her.
Afraid of the large necked river beast? Not! As Our President says, Bring it on! He is more than a match for the former residents of the White House.
