We know the media shills for the democrats, but it's about time some one of the VERY FEW honest media get on this point and two others:

We want to know about those famous wounds that he takes credit for......(I'm not saying I would want them, but he is making big claims about his service) but we have a right to see the records.

All my friends had to spend 12 months in Nam....why did ketchup boy only serve 4 months and then come home and fight the war and call those poor guys without deferments baby killers and war criminals

I am telling you my friends, more is coming about what really happened in kerry's war experience, and it won't be a pretty thing to see.

Two of his Purple Hearts required nothing more than some disinfectant and a band aid.

My son turned down one of those 'band aid' Purple Hearts last April near An Najaf. Seems he took some skin off a finger with his M4 magazine somewhere in a fire fight. He'd been hurt worse playing hockey.

If he "lobbied" to get a transfer, then I "lobbied" every time I submitted a 4187. Face it guys, we can't say anything derogatory about Kerry's service in Vietnam. He did far more than Bush, while others did far more than he, but he did serve honorably and with valor in Vietnam. You have to give him credit for it, and you have to respect it, lest you disrespect thousands of other soldiers who served there.

However, we can definitely nail him for his attitudes and actions after he came back.

Had there been more VC (Say in the tree line) beaching your craft would make it a sitting duck for Mortars and rockets.

I agree. But it does seem rather coincidental that these were all minor wounds (two of them requiring only one day off duty, and the other - the only documented one - requiring two days off) and that they happened at a time when Kerry wanted to get out and go back and run for office.

He should release all of his records, something he has steadfastly refused to do.

Um those boats were some of the most dangerouns assignments in 'nam. You were a sitting duck, open target, going up and down rivers full of snipers. Saying that his assignment was safe is re-writing history.

but I always thought that military records were private and had to have the approval of the soldier in question.

I don't know all the details, but it's my understanding these records cannot be released unless the soldier in question gives the request because of all the personal information that would be in the file

Kerry seems to put out a lot of information .. but he won't release his military file

I can say whatever I damn well please about John F. Kerry. My family served this country a hell of a lot better and longer than John F'n Kerry and didn't ASK OR AWARD themselves ANY medals. They also didn't turn their backs on the other soldiers who were STILL FIGHTING while he had his prissy butt testifying (in his best JFK accent) to killing innocent people.

President Bush is fighting a CURRENT and PRESENT war that Kerry has no clue how to fight (unless you consider turning it over to the UN, fighting). I really don't need you to tell me what I can say or think about Kerry.

I really think this line of doubt/questioning is a dead end for the RNC & W. No matter what the records say; Kerry will still have proof that he was in combat in VN, received both medals and injuries (no matter how slight), and nothing can change the fact that all of W's service was stateside.

Some things are better left alone - otherwise you just might be highlighting your opponents strong suit & your nitpicking can only be seen as sour grapes.

My husband was a Grunt in Nam. He said when the swift boats showed up on the rivers, the Grunts made fun of them. The boats were sprarkling clean. The crew wore immaculent uniforms. The Grunts would throw mud at the boats and call the crew all sorts of sissy names. Hope Kerry was on one of those boats.

And he was on a swift boat for ........... 7 or 8 weeks ??????? You do the math. He was not on a swift boat all his time there.
