I really think this line of doubt/questioning is a dead end for the RNC & W. No matter what the records say; Kerry will still have proof that he was in combat in VN, received both medals and injuries (no matter how slight), and nothing can change the fact that all of W's service was stateside.
Some things are better left alone - otherwise you just might be highlighting your opponents strong suit & your nitpicking can only be seen as sour grapes.
