You mean Smith's PD's qualification for being a judge was to show up on time?

I well remember when an incident like this happened years ago in Columbia County Florida, where I used to reside... Kimberly Leech was abducted from a local school and her body was subsequently found in an abandoned hog shed in Suwannee County. Ted Bundy was ultimately arrested, tried, found guilty, and executed for her abduction and murder... North Florida residents where outraged, and the outrage never waned until the execution finally took place...

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family... Justice will be served, and this animal will pay dearly for his crimes...

Maybe this creep will receive the honor of restarting old sparky. I can't get that video out of my mind, his hand gripping her tiny forearm.

There's only a couple of things we want government to do:
deliver the mail
seal our borders
protect us from perp scum like this

What do we get? Hell, more efforts spent on some speckled rat! Some other BS!

God help us!

Prison justice will probably bring him to that reckoning sooner rather than later.

This awful picture of John Kerry should be enlarged hugely
and placed on huge poster board and stuck all around the
country. We DO want to help in his campaign against
President Bush, don't we? (And, yep, I know they could do
the same thing to us, but Pres. Bush on his worst day on
a bad hair day, on a sick day, does not look as clownish
as Kerry does in this photo!)

I remember that as if it happened yesterday. It took ELEVEN years before Bundy fried.

How many more children are going to die before we start imposing tougher prison sentences for those who break the law? Until judges and defense lawyers start getting raped I guess nothing will get done.

While I agree per violent crimes, I do not agree we should be harsher -- or even as harsh as we are now -- about nonviolent crimes. This man had a misdemeanor battery and a felony drug possession. What's wrong with that picture?

I'm a recovering addict myself. I was charged with drug possession. It definitely set me back on the road to recovery, and G-d saw fit to see that ALL charges were completely DROPPED. It was wonderful that it happened, it straightened me out. But would it have benefitted society to see me a felon?

I hope Utah gets busy frying that jerk and dog ugly wife who abducted that girl there and locked her in a hole for months.

You have to DEMAND IT, folks. Or your friends or children might be next!

"a place so tormenting that not even lawyers get sent there. "

What? How can this be? What group of individuals has done more to destroy America than lawyers? They should have reserved seats!

Yep. Perhaps Shakespeare had the right idea about how to deal with lawyers.

How horribly sad!

This monster reminds me of Alejandro Avila in California who so horribly tortured and molested a little Samantha that the records were closed. In that case also the jury (after his lawyer made false arguments in court) found him not guilty in a previous case of sexual assault on children. Samantha's mother was furious with that jury and rightfully so.

The media will add further pain to this family by ignoring their request for respect.

Sad, but very true.

"his website (tebrugge4judge) is a porn site--no kidding!"

Funny, my old business webiste is also porn site now. I think the pronographers snatch up expiring domain names and try to profit off of the residual traffic and search engine recognition these site posess.

yes, it is possible for an individual to be worse than a lawyer, hard to believe though it is (even as there are actual good lawyers, though they are a tiny minority). as with group tours and cruises, lawyers go to hell on the group rate, which puts them in the economy section.
