Hours after news broke of Saddam Hussein's capture, Democratic presidential hopeful Joseph Lieberman slammed his party's front-runner Howard Dean as a defacto ally of the Iraqi dictator because of his long term opposition to the war. "If Howard Dean had his way, Saddam Hussein would be in power today, not in prison, Lieberman told NBC's "Meet the Press."
"I always felt he was ticking time bomb, the Connecticut Democrat explained.
While Dean has said in recent days that he was not sure whether Hussein should stand trial for war crimes, Lieberman told "Meet the Press," "This evil man has to face the death penalty. The International Tribunal at The Hague can not order the death penalty.
The lone war hawk among the nine candidates seeking his party's nomination, Lieberman called Saddam "a homicidal maniac," saying that he "caused the deaths of more than a million people, including now 460 Americans who went to overthrow him.
For his part, Dean told reporters on the campaign trail in Florida, "I think this is a day to celebrate the fact that Saddam has been captured and we'll have to worry about the campaign later on.
"President Bush deserves a day of celebration. We have our policy differences but we won't be discussing those today," he added.

I listened to the whole interview. Joe "almost" sounded like a Patriot. He also took at shot at Gore for backing Dean. Dean is toast and it's obvious from the set-up jobs in the media today that he will not get the nomination.

Relax, relax, relax. I won't vote for him.
He has balls (nerfballs?) on some issues. Very few, yep. But a couple. A couple is all you need though, right? (That was a joke...)
On a happier note, did anyone see that SNL skit last night, the Hardball spoof? They had Lieberman (the fake Lieberman) there, and it was hilarious. Also, they had someone doing a much-too-pleasant Hillary Clinton. It was quite funny.
But later, they had a Gore/Dean skit. Now that was funny.
Calm down y'all. We now need to increase our contributions to Howey pronto. He's still our best man for the job (destruction of the Rat party).

---Is the nomination still a lock for Dean?? Are the Dems nutty enough to run off that clif???---
They are!
One thinks that surely the Dims would have planned for this day. But noooo!

The Dems will get even crazier when they see the bounce Bush gets from this. Dean is still the king when it comes to rallying the hate Bush crowd. Just watch after the shock of today wears off.

ROFL. I thought that said
Did Hillary have but one testicle? Seriously. I really thought that's what it said. I had to click on it and start reading before I realized my mistake.

President Gore would still be shining Saddam's shoes today. With his back to him.

Hillary, I'm sure, is still a part of the lone-nut theory. :P

As I stated on another thread - this is the third anniversary of Al Gore's concession.
Love it, love it, love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I think I broke this "correlation scoop"!)
To: torchthemummy
I thought he conceded on the thirteenth? Hmmmm.
