The New England Journal of Medicine reports that men who smoke risk cutting 7.3 years off their lives. Oxford University's International Journal of Epidimiology, 1997, reports "...Life expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men...nearly half of gay and bisexual men currently aged 20 years will not reach their 65th birthday. Judging by the years at risk, homosexual activity is up to three times deadlier than smoking. Click on the link and you will be directed to where you can click on another link to see the official statistics from the Oxford University international Journal of Epidimiology. At that link you will also other links showing that men who have sex with men are 860% more likely to contract a sexually transmitted disease(STD), INCREASING up to 500% their risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. As well, Between The Lines, Michigan's statewide gay newspaper reports the risk of anal cancer "soars" by nearly 4,000% for men who have sex with men. Pap smears for women have dropped the risk of cervical cancer by 75% , from 40-50 per 100,000 to 8 to 10 per 100,000. Even if a pap smear for gay and bisexual men is ever developed, not looking likely at present, a similiar drop of 75% would still mean that men who have sex with increase their odds of developing anal cancer by 800%. Between The Lines states that a condom only offers limited protection against developing anal cancer.

Homosexuals have a higher rate of smokers compared to the general population, so they are double-screwed. Maybe it's due to their addictive behaviour, I don't pretend to know or understand.
It's up to them to better themselves. There's help out there, but the choice is theirs.

"Its amazing how obsessed some on this board seemed to be with the homosexual lifestyle."
It's even more amazing how homosexuals are obsessed with their own lifestyle...and getting others to accept it.

I think it's a natural reaction to having a lifestyle shoved down your throats and told that everything about it is A-OK, when all facts point to the contrary.

Compassion can be dangerous to your health.

No, that's the wrong attitude. Praise the Lord when one gives up a self-destructive lifestyle.

It is rather queer.
To: cwboelter
Can you give any examples where you personally have been required to accept the homosexual lifestyle?

That was good. Now seriously, why is it that there are SOOOO many public service ads telling us how bad it is to smoke, yet no public service ads telling us that homosexuality is MORE dangerous than smoking.

Once our so called leaders establish some legitimate recognized partnership/psuedo marriage
and these sicknifficant others get on the insurance roles...and go throught partner after partner after partner......
They will eventually bankrupt the insurance companies or at the very least make insurance rates impossible for small employers to offer to their employees their wives husbands and children...
Any presidential candidate that can offer familes medical care...will win....
The level of main stream health care will descend to that of the VA medical centers...the worst of them that is....

Not half as obsessed as GLSEN and PFLAG are in seeing this "safe lifestyle" promoted in schools.

You wonder why anyone who was a member of a demographic group that is likely to die before reaching 65 would vote for a political party that has made its support for medicare or social security the most important issue, don't you?

For some reason the Gay-stapo lobby is a powerful one that causes much fear. Fear. Hmmmm. Maybe the ones who fail to stand up to the Gay-stapo are the true "homophobes" (fear of homosexuals)
To: Geritol
They don't work. But based on usual government reasoning, we should make a law mandating it for everyone regardless. Complete with "piss room" cops to arrest offenders.
