Yes, you read that correctly.

Democrat candidate for President Jim Webb has endorsed Donald Trump for President, not Hillary.

Of course he did, because Trump is a liberal Democrat!

Webb has been considerably to the right of other Democrats. During his senate campaign, a some Republicans crossed over to vote for him. I recall he was interested in American history and supported historical preservation.

My post lists some reactions one could have to the Webb possible endorsement of Trump. Yours is another. I tend to worry that Trump will attract more Democrat voters because he is a Democrat and will attract Democrats on that basis and some GOP voters based on the label and his hoped for nomination.

A life long democrat endorses another life long democrat, that’s news?

I agree. To win, Trump will need Independents and Democrats. I do not know if he will be as successful in attracting Democrats as R. Reagan, who did receive some endorsements from Dems.

True, but at least even most of the GOPe don’t support things like abortion, gay stuff, and etc. in numbers like the Dems do.

That is what they tell us. How many stepped up to defund PP last October? They are not much different than the rat win of the uniparty except for the lip service they give our beliefs.

Yeah there are some phoneys. But it's not as bad as you indicate. Here is a link showing how many republicans voted to defund PP last year:

http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2015/roll505.xml

Only 3 republicans didn't vote to defund, and only 2 dems did vote to defund.

I think this is part of the show they put on for us, just like periodically vo. If they really cared about this or Obamacare they would pass bills defunding them in both houses and shut down the gubmint if Obama vetoes it. They don’t even threaten to do that, which should tell you all you need to know.

Well, since everything good they pass will get vetoed, shutting down the government is their only option. Which means if they want a lot of stuff passed, they are going to have to shut down the gov non-stop. That’ll get a lot of voters pissed off with them and ensure a dem win in the next election. So then, even though we may get a republican prez, we’ll be stuck with a dem congress who won’t pass any good bills. The whole political situation is screwed whichever way you look at it.

I did not expect it to be easy but nobody expected it would be. I did expect the GOP to actually fight for the things they promised to get done, which they have not.
