I would like to take this opportunity to stray from the normal topic of our Thread Intro and do something special this weekend.
I would like to dedicate and name this thread "America The Right Way Thanks Jim Robinson"
Maybe. The first lady and I were just discussing that possibility after Mass. We haven't been in at least a month.
Btw, good morning!

Thanks for the info on LD. I'm thinking that as the season progresses, LD will be doing that halftime routine in her sleep! She'll get very proficient.
As to finances, it's been our sad experience, that expenses are usually higher than expected.
Now, for example, when we sit down in the late spring to work on this particular part of the budget, we always add more.
You see, often at that time, the university still hasn't figured out its tuition schedule for the following year.
Sometimes, it's a few more weeks...early summer... when it does, and typically, it's a percentage point or 2 higher than first thought.
And books!! Oh brother...
Ut oh. Btw, good morning!

High 91, Low 76, 50% chance of rain...I sound like a broken record.

Mike - A beach day sounds very nice! I'll have to settle for a baseball day.:-)
Great that you can provide ohio with some info.
When my son's friend returned last week from basic at Ft. Lost in the Woods, he & my husband reminisced about basic. Sounded like things hadn't changed THAT much in 30 years.
But my husband had basic at Ft. Lewis, which he makes out to be idyllic.
Got to get going here.
Ha, ha....:-)
It's practically a different team than the one that came up from spring training.
These young kids have spirit and energy. Kind fun!
Last Sunday in Louisville, we wento out to eat with s-i-l to a neighborhood cafe..
This southern girl had grits.....fried catfish....well-cooked green beans with bacon, and the most delicious iced tea.
It was heaven!
The other....northern.... people at the table...who knows WHAT they had! LOL!
Raven - Thinking about you this morning. You are taking steps back to a "regular" life. There IS an end to the journey!
Raven... I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Have faith. My wife and I went through the same thing six years ago. We lost everything, but we were able to rebuild, and the town came through like you wouldn't believe. (I felt like George Bailey in, It's A Wonderful Life.) Prayers to you and your wife!
We head our Japanese student over to the University this morning. She will take a bus, along with the other 34 students, to Chicago. They will sight see for a few days, and then fly back to Japan. It's like sending a daughter off to college.
Saw an NEA rep. on C-Span yesterday morning. It was an embarrassment to those of us who teach. He acted like we that opposed their non-committal attitude towards 9/11 were the oddballs in this Country, and thought that it was all about pushing an agennda of school vouchers.
Blessings to you all on the Lord's Day!
REMEMBER THE TRADE CENTER!!

The news as reported in The Washington Times:
[Note All links go to The Washington Times website.]
[Note also Don't blame Chair for mistakes, all Bitwhacker's fault, blah, blah, blah...]
1. Iraq's ambassador to the U.N. defended financial aid to Palestinian suicide bombers as 'Arab solidarity'.
[He did NOT explain why killing innocent civilians, including infants, is legit. Can you say, 'Regime Change'?]
2. U.S. Attorney McNulty steps into the spotlight.
[McNulty is the prosecutor in Alexandria, VA, who is going after the terrorists. Wish we had 100 of him.]

3. Theives steal 3 rare copies of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol', smuggling them out of a museum in London in broad daylight.
[Each is valued between $30,000 and $45,000, and police don't expect to ever recover them.]

4. Losses expected by GOP in states.
[Twenty-three of the 36 governorships up for grabs this time 'round are held by Republicans. I think California is a write-off, though.]

We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.

Correction. It's Mr. Mulliner.
Good morning to both of you. I'm waiting for the four ladies in my life to finish in our one bathroom so I can get a shot at it before going to church. Hope your day is going well.
