Every Weird Moon of Uranus Explained in 8 Minutes [8:02]
YouTube ^ | May 11, 2026 | Dr_Curio

[snip] Uranus has 29 confirmed moons. Only one spacecraft has ever visited the planet -- and that was in 1986 for just a few hours. Yet in the last two years alone we have discovered a brand new moon, found hidden oceans beneath multiple moons, and revealed that the dark sides of its largest moons are on completely the wrong hemisphere.

In this video we break down every weird moon of Uranus -- from a world with the tallest cliff in the entire solar system, to a moon with a single mysterious bright ring sitting alone on an otherwise pitch black surface, to the smallest moon ever found orbiting Uranus discovered just last year by the James Webb Space Telescope.

This is Part 3 of our Weird Moons Series. [/snip]

Had it removed.

NASA wants to probe deeper into Uranus than ever before

Just as long as NASA goes faster, harder, and deeper, everything will be just fine.

There’s a Uranian moon named Miranda? Reminds me of this scene from the movie, “Red Heat,” starring Arnie Schwarzenegger and Jim Belushi.

“Do you know Miranda?”

You know the headline writers are laughing their “Uranuses” off.

S/2025 UI looks like it came out of Uranus.

What do toilet paper and the Starship Enterprise have in common? The both circle Uranus in search of klingons.

Didn’t read anything but the headline.
Is this a Lindsey Graham biopic?

What do an Astronomer, and a Proctologist have in common? They both make their living looking at Uranus.

They should’ve named S/2025 UI “Khan”. It resembles a Klingon and it does circle Uranus.

It's just so frustrating. People who make and laugh at Uranus jokes have their head up, uh, never mind.
Rimshot!

In gay science fiction, Uranus probably orbits the Dog Star.

I still think it was intentional. Why do all the planets have names from the Roman pantheon except for one? And why that spelling? The alternate Greek name is Ouranos, which doesn’t lend itself to a never ending source of scatological jokes.

Ouranos has the emphasis on the second (to last) syllable, so Uranus is correctly pronounced that way. Some uptight nitwit tried to pass YER uh nus as the correct way, but it isn’t and it’s stupid when people claim that it is.
