family’s beloved pet donkey was shot and killed by Georgia cops after the tiny ass allegedly confronted them when they ran through his pasture.
Hannah Israel, 30, said officers entered the family’s property in Cedartown — near the Alabama border — without notice at about 12:45 a.m. while chasing a suspect when they came across HeeHaw.
“They claimed he ran up to them braying and they thought they were in danger and shot and killed him after trying to Taze him,” Israel wrote on Facebook
"HeeHaw was raised in the house and did petting zoos he never knew a stranger,” Israel added. “And was shot and killed in his OWN pasture for doing what donkeys do. Alerting to a stranger.”
A haunting photo taken during the aftermath of the shooting showed Israel crying over the dead donkey, whose eyes remained wide open as it laid on the ground.

You don’t know donkeys do you? We used to pasture a large (16H) quarter horse and a miniature donkey together. One day a couple of stray dogs got into the paddock and chased the horse who tore the place up trying to get away. The donkey ran after the dogs and kicked the snot out of them, killing both of them.

You don’t go into a livestock pasture and then shoot said livestock existing in their own pasture. Especially a baby donkey.
If a cop shows up in my horse pasture and shoots my horses because he’s scared...well, I won’t say anything else.

The Georgia cops who trespassed onto private property and shot a pet donkey. There was ZERO justification for that. Brainless cops anxious to shoot anything they perceived as a threat.
Had that been my property there’d be a couple of job openings at that police department.
