President Donald Trump kicked off his Thursday morning by lashing out at critics of his 14-point deal with Iran, calling them “fools.”
On Truth Social, Trump bragged about stock market gains this week and average gas prices falling slightly since the announcement of the memorandum of understanding (MOU), which can be read here. The deal has found critics on both sides of the political aisle, with some arguing that the deal is not tough enough on Iran. Others have also red-flagged framework in the deal that would set up a $300 billion reconstruction fund, as well as sanctions being lifted on Iran.
Trump dismissed these critics as “either jealous, bad people, or stupid.”
“These fools, who think I haven’t been tough enough on Iran, when the Stock Market Just Hit A RECORD HIGH, and Oil prices are ‘tumbling’ down, are either jealous, bad people, or stupid. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!! President DJT,” the president wrote.
Trump spoke about the MOU during a press conference at the G7 summit on Wednesday, where he also pointed to the stock market.
“So the one thing I didn’t want to see is — I didn’t want to see economic catastrophe. If you kept this going, that could have happened. But all I know is, every time we talked about the possibility of peace, the stock market shot up like a rocket ship. It never went down. They didn’t like it — the people. You know, the stock market is more brilliant than anybody there is,” he said.
Trump formally signed a memorandum of understanding while in Versailles, France, that includes ending a Navy blockade, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and more.
The president has warned that if Iran does not follow through on the deal, then he’ll go right back to “bombing” them.
“If I don’t like it, if they don’t behave, we’ll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head. OK? Because they’ve misbehaved for 47 years,” he said.

I think Trump knows this deal will go bad but he’s just buying time to get through the midterms. This is not over.
Its actually a stall while the World resupplies with oil. Sooner or later Iran will break the deal and the bombs will drop again. In the meanwhile gas prices will fall . Getting past the midterms so the treasonous RAT party does not regain power is the real issue
I’m going with bad people. No one can be that stupid.
So if Iran gets nuked, these people will be satisfied for a time but still left with their soul sickness and then move onto the next enemy. Turkey? Lebanon? Syria? China’s too much. 🙄 Wouldn’t it be nice if some energy were put into fixing up America?
Obama Iran deal could only be seen in a SCIF, by permission, and under threat of prosecution if it was discussed to another party.
We did what we set out to do and now we will see if they will let the oil flow which was the most important.
I don’t know enough about the deal to criticize it, but I do know the Iranians can’t be trusted to hold to any deal. I’m glad the hostilities are over for now and oil prices can drop. I was very much in favor of last year’s bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, but that was supposed to have destroyed their nuclear capabilities - do we need to bomb Iran every year to ensure they don’t rebuild their nuclear facilities?
Let’s see if the Strait really opens and traffic flows. That is the main thing.
Those that truly support Trump accept the occasional slings and arrows of a guy from Queens.
It’s the folks that can’t understand that language who get all bent out of shape over it.
As someone with a lot of family from Queens I can say with certainty that this is nothing to fall down the stairs about.
Let’s see if the follow-on negotiations to secure Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile is productive. That is the main thing. The reason this all began. The Strait issue is a distraction.
I think so of what you say is true, but I think it’s also more complicated. And I wish Trump could articulate it better instead of just saying people who criticize the deal are stupid.
Giving Trump benefit of the doubt, I think the resiliency of the regime was/is more than expected going in. Militarily we could not have done better, and he deserves credit for that. But with boots on the ground, which nobody here wants, rooting out the IRCG elements was a difficult prospect at best.
I also think, with all the effort that’s gone into the Abraham accords, and Israel’s part in the strikes in Iran and now pushing hezbolah deep into Lebanon, some of the Arab states in the accord were expressing discomfort, and Trump doesn’t want the Abraham accords to unravel as a result of ‘too much’ Israeli/western action. Thus his harsh words to Bibi.
Also, war is expensive, risky, and can become unpredictable in so many ways. It’s always a last resort and to be avoided as much as possible.
I think everyone here would like the final outcome to be regime change but Trump has to take measured steps to not have the cost become unacceptable to us.
JMHO
If they're leftists/Democrats/wokoids, they're at least one of these three. Some are all three.
Mr. President, the entire goal of this war was to ELIMINATE all threats that this Iranian regime poses to us, Israel, and the world.
All we really want to know is your answer to this question: how does this agreement truly achieve that objective on an on-going basis (i.e., for at least the next generation of time)?
Good post.
Here’s how Trump can save they day. Make the Senate ratify the agreement with Iran. If they refuse or vote it down, it’s null & void. And that means the senate backs the war and then Trump can go back and finish the job.
Lucky thing a lot of us know what’s going on behind the scenes.
He has already saved the day. The Senate is no friend of the American people.
We obviously can’t MAKE the Senate pass the Save Act, which is in our best interests.
Why would we give them this authority?

I’m not sure exactly how much you were joking, but you can read the full text of the Obama Iran deal here for comparison:
