It could cause a deep, deep rift in his support!!!
I’m wondering if he can buy enough time. Negotiations over the next 60 days under a very fragile MOU can quickly go south even before that period is up in August, well before the midterms.
I agree with your point that Trump’s actions are more like those of a politician than as a leader. Very disappointing ... and potentially dangerous by appeasing a bloodthirsty enemy. England learned that hard lesson not so long ago.
While we seek concessions on Nuke threats, nuclear weapons are being replaced by inexpensive drones with nerve gas - the types of threats are evolving quickly, 300+ billion to Iran can buy a lot of these new devices for their terror proxies. That’s my concern….
There was an “expert” on CBS Mornings today who said that US will be giving “billions” of dollars to Iran even before the 60 days are up. This “expert” didn’t even say that a “final” deal on nuclear material must be agreed before any US sanctions is lifted. It seems these “experts” are lying to the public already about this deal. I agree with you that Trump is finding an off ramp to help with the midterms. This intermediate deal is about getting the strait opened.
This is a 60 day band aid to help get oil prices down and get more serious negotiations started. If Iran doesn’t get their act together I suspect we’ll see bombing, one day after the midterms.
He just called those who question the deal bad or stupid. So he’s waiting for the mid terms and then he’ll say what?? Oh you bad and stupid people were right. Let’s bomb Iran.
I hope that’s the explanation. I think that’s also what Iran is waiting for. They’ll be good until after November. They’re hoping for a Dhimmicrap Congress that will tie Trump’s hands, then they can do whatever they want.
