YOU CAN\'T MAKE THIS UP: Dog Shoots Woman with a Shotgun During Gas Station Stop
The Gateway Pundit ^ | May 26, 2026 | Cullen Linebarger

In an incident that belongs in Ripley's Believe It or Not!, a dog managed to fire a gun and hit a woman while it was inside a vehicle last week in Nebraska.

As KNOP reported, Scottsbluff police officers were called to Short Stop at 2002 Avenue I in the city after receiving a report that a person had been shot by a BB gun at 12:07 p.m.

They were later informed while driving to the gas station and convenience store that the incident involved a shotgun.

When the police arrived, they were confronted with a shocking truth: the culprit responsible for the shooting incident was not human. Rather, it was man's best friend.

Yes, a dog accidentally pulled the trigger of a gun and somehow shot a woman from several feet away!

KNOP reported:

According to Scottsbluff police, the owner of the truck had pulled into the convenience store. While the passenger was standing near the front passenger-side door, a dog in the back seat moved from one side of the vehicle to the other.

The dog triggered a shotgun that had a live shell in the chamber, causing the firearm to discharge.

At the time of the gunfire, a woman was stopped at the traffic light on Avenue I with her arm resting out of the window. One pellet from the shotgun blast struck her in the upper right arm.

Her injury was not believed to be life-threatening, and a family member transported her to Regional West Medical Center for treatment.

Would be a much more believable story if it had been a cat.

Second question:

Where was she taking the dog, and did it not want to go there?

Notorious gangster Black Bart was nowhere to be found. But Fortunately, Ralphie is on patrol with his Red Ryder. It’s a carbine action, two-hundred shot rifle that even has a compass in the stock.

I was parked in a nice little park overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the state of Washington. There was a car parked uphill that had a rambunctious German Shepard dog bouncing around in the front seat. The dog knocked the car’s transmission out of park, and the car rolled silently down the hill and struck my car after running over the foot of an unfortunate woman. The insurance claim was not straightforward.

Some years ago, someone posted a cartoon “If Dogs Ran The NFL.” It showed a dog holding a shotgun, saying “his passing numbers were down. It had to be done.”

On the ground was a player, presumably Michael Vick.

I heard a female dog stepped on the remote left on the floor and Jessica Tarlov came on as a panelist on The Five because like attracts like.

I can just imagine the sick call to work.

“I can’t come in today because my dog shot me”.

Years ago a toddler picked up daddy’s revolver and accidently shot his mother in the arm. Kids & dogs don’t mix with guns. :-)

Did the dog shoot the woman? OR... did the gun shoot her?

Maybe the dog knew all about how violent guns are and was trying to prevent the gun from brutally shooting the poor woman
