Pete Hegseth spent $100,000 on a piano, $2 million on Alaskan King Crab, $7 million on lobster tail, $15 million on steak, $120,000 on ice cream machines, and $12,000 on fruit basket stands… JUST IN SEPTEMBER! (But, tell me again how Somali day care centers are the problem.)

No, Secretary Hegseth didn't personally buy these. Per OpenTheBooks analysis of DoD data, these were Pentagon-wide contracts in Sept 2025 (end of fiscal year "use-it-or-lose-it" spending spike to $93B total): $98k Steinway piano for Air Force chief of staff's official residence; $2M Alaskan king crab, $6.9M lobster tail, $15.1M ribeye steak, $124k ice cream machines, ~$12.5k fruit basket stands—mostly bulk for base dining/facilities. Standard gov pattern, not unique to him.
Sounds like the provisions for the submarine service. I loved it.

My 1973 EM1 promotion letter has SSN.
I’m delighted we feed our armed forces personnel well.
Period.
Hahahaha...I would have said “EXCELLENT! MORE FOR ME THEN!”
At which my mother (and probably yours) would have said “That’s fine. You pay for it...”
I remember my battalion commander lamenting that instead of complimenting unit commanders for being good money managers, the “use it or lose it” did just the opposite. And, essencially required commanders to “save” money during the year and then waste it at the end of the year in order that the budget amount requested for the next fiscal year was not reduced.
I don’t know about the piano, but feeding our troops on money they had to spend when government mandated you use it, or lose it, I can’t think of anything I’d rather spend our tax dollars on than our troops. There’s no troops on the ground but they’re fighting in the air and on our ships. while democrats steal our money through fake LLC,’s and illegal aliens getting grants so they can commit fraud.
But did he get two scoops of ice cream?
