Who Is Mariano Barbacid Mariano Barbacid was born on 4 October 1949 and built his career at the cutting edge of cancer genetics. So, is it a “glimmer of hope”?

or a “shock breakthrough”?

That was my question.

Sounds like it just might be a better treatment.

Not saying that that is hay.

Just not exactly as headlined.

No worries. The big pharma cancer industrial complex will crush this and any threat to their cash flow. Patients be damned.

Big pharmaceutical companies don’t make all that much on pancreatic cancer er because the course of treatment is usually short ending when the patient dies.

Bob must’ve mouthed off to someone to get that shiner. He also invented that blue stuff in the barber shop.

Killed my auntie. I can trace back the entire family tree and no one had cancer (all died of strokes or heart attacks in old age). Auntie was diagnosed and died a year later.

I strongly disagree with you that there is some big pharma cancer industrial complex to keep it going.

As a kid I did yard work for an oncologist who died of cancer. Did he let himself die to make more money for his hospital? And I am sure there are lots of oncologists and doctors who have had family die of that horrible disease. I doubt they let it happen to make a few more bucks.

Thank goodness for the mice. I’d hate to see them with this disease.

“I strongly disagree with you that there is some big pharma cancer industrial complex to keep it going.”

It’s even darker than this. The cancer research has taken the genetic road some 30 years ago, with massive funding based on wild claims of “imminent cure” and outlandish promises. With nearly zero result (there is not a single genetic cure so far). Prof Thomas Seyfried has some videos where he talks in depth about this scam.

As with all bogus theories (ulcer is caused by stress, Alzheimer is caused by amyloid plaques, anything is caused by climate change...), too much money and power are at stake to change course.
Barbacid is an oncogene specialist, meaning he is deep down into this failed paradigm. So the chance he’ll find a cure now, after searching for decades without result, is near zero.

Prayers fror such a great heroic effort to conquer the same cancer that two successive fine pastors of the assembly I have attended, 2002 until now. They contracted it and were soon gone.

Fearsome if you and your family are not deeply engaged with our Savior and Lord, trusting in His solace, comfort, and ongoing everlasting life with Him.
