For decades, pancreatic cancer has been one of medicine's most feared diagnoses. Aggressive, fast moving, and stubbornly resistant to treatment, it has claimed lives with ruthless efficiency.
Now, the name Mariano Barbacid is echoing far beyond scientific circles. His latest work is being hailed as one of the most important cancer breakthroughs in years, offering a glimmer of hope against a disease that has defied progress for decades.
Who Is Mariano Barbacid Mariano Barbacid was born on 4 October 1949 and built his career at the cutting edge of cancer genetics. So, is it a “glimmer of hope”?
or a “shock breakthrough”?
Title says he “wiped out” pancreatic cancer!
“Like with a cloth?”

Sounds like clickbait, unfortunately.
Sounds like it just might be a better treatment.
Not saying that that is hay.
Just not exactly as headlined.
No worries. The big pharma cancer industrial complex will crush this and any threat to their cash flow. Patients be damned.
who knew Bob Newhart moonlighted as a cancer researcher....
Titles lie. They are trying to sell something
Neither. It is a "Bombshell." 🤡
Big pharmaceutical companies don’t make all that much on pancreatic cancer er because the course of treatment is usually short ending when the patient dies.
In mice. A long way from human trials.
Bob must’ve mouthed off to someone to get that shiner. He also invented that blue stuff in the barber shop.
BBB
Killed my auntie. I can trace back the entire family tree and no one had cancer (all died of strokes or heart attacks in old age). Auntie was diagnosed and died a year later.
I strongly disagree with you that there is some big pharma cancer industrial complex to keep it going.
As a kid I did yard work for an oncologist who died of cancer. Did he let himself die to make more money for his hospital? And I am sure there are lots of oncologists and doctors who have had family die of that horrible disease. I doubt they let it happen to make a few more bucks.
In mice
Thank goodness for the mice. I’d hate to see them with this disease.

As with all bogus theories (ulcer is caused by stress, Alzheimer is caused by amyloid plaques, anything is caused by climate change...), too much money and power are at stake to change course.
Barbacid is an oncogene specialist, meaning he is deep down into this failed paradigm. So the chance he’ll find a cure now, after searching for decades without result, is near zero.
Fearsome if you and your family are not deeply engaged with our Savior and Lord, trusting in His solace, comfort, and ongoing everlasting life with Him.
