What if Senator Kelly and the other members of Congress making that video about not following illegal orders did not intend it for our military. What if they intended it as a message to their hysterical followers. What if they intended their followers to assume anyone in uniform following Trump's orders were following illegal orders, because what else can Trump do? At this point how could anyone know if that was their intent or not?
Wouldn't some of their crazed followers do exactly what that Afghan in DC is alleged to have done, and attack anyone on military duty? At this point, is it reasonable for any military member in uniform to expect to be attacked by "Antifa" or other crazed progressives?
I'm sure the Senator and the others intended no such thing. Could someone call on Senator Kelly and the others to make another video saying no illegal orders have been given to their knowledge and no one else should attack US military members? That their first video was terribly thought out and misconceived?

F. Mark Kelly.
WORDS mean something. People are responsible for what they say.
I think you’re being naive - if not thoroughly disingenuous.
It’s good that the question was asked, so that we can discuss it. I’m on the sedition view, fyi.
Kelly means both.
That Trump is giving illegal, fascist orders, and unless the military disobeys, they are legitimate targets.
I’ve been called disingenuous before. Don’t know if it was thoroughly or not.
“that would make the video a psy-op against the American people.”
Legalized by obummer. For some reason that is still in place.
Who was the target audience? It wasn’t generals and admirals. They are well educated in this regard and overall. Most officers are well educated in this matter and nearly all are college educated. I would say the same of senior enlisted.
That leaves junior enlisted. This was likely the targeted audience.
Consider this; the Commander in Chief issues an unlawful order, what should the senator’s action be? Call for an emergency session of congress? Seek redress in federal court? Or encourage junior enlisted to mutiny?
The last one is clearly inane. Outside a true illegal order, discontent is his only hope.
He was a ranking officer in the Navy. He knows the President isn’t doing anything illegal. It wasn’t illegal to fight undeclared wars in Korea and Vietnam, you can add Afghanistan and Iraq to that. It wasn’t illegal for our incursions into Pakistan. It wasn’t illegal for Clinton to lob missiles into Serbia. It seemingly was illegal to kill an American in a foreign country. It wasn’t illegal to invade Grenada, nor to invade Panama and forcibly remove its leader (a situation very close to the one that exists in Venezuela.). I could go on.
Bottom line, we have, for the past 75 years vested more and more authority in the executive branch and now dems are shocked by its breadth of authority.
It’s not one or the other. It’s both.
so these billboards popping up saying the exact same thing are not coordinated? Extremelllllllllllllllly unlikely! Good try!

Woe be to the azzhatz of the world.
Then why was Kelly on Jimmy Kimmel saying he was not going to back down from his statements or from Trump the dictator?
What if monkeys flew out of my butt.
Well, if they didn’t mean it, who cares? Mutiny is exactly what the outcome looks like.
Indeed, the existentialist questions that plague us.
Oh stop! All six of them were hoping to sow the seeds of discord in our military personnel. They are guilty as sin of sedition but likely will get off with a warning. 🙄
Oooohhh...there is that word “intend”....ya know, I did not intend to kill that person...just wound or scare them...yeah...thats it.
That said, I believe that Kelley and company have nefarious intent. Proving it might be well nigh impossible. It kind of sets up a reversed Nuremberg Trial argument...”I was only disobeying illegal orders.” It’s twisted, but it’s not the finest thread the wacky left ever clung to in support of their views.
