After listening to Pines on AI I am more convinced than ever that AI is going to treat us like wildlife in a couple of decades. It does not matter if it is “self aware” or “has a soul” or any of that stuff. It will just treat us as irrelevant because we will become irrelevant—no philosophical analysis needed.

Well there is something there. Photographic sightings backed by by radar are compelling evidence. These things have been observed at least since WW2. They are unlikely to be earth govt technology since never in history has technology with military applications not been used.
