The teenager accused of fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf and leaving him to die in his twin brother’s arms at a high school track meet allegedly admitted to the senseless killing — but claimed it was in self defense.
“I’m not alleged, I did it,” 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony chillingly told police in Frisco, Texas as he was being arrested at Kuykendall Stadium, according to an arrest warrant obtained by NBC DFW.
The horrific stabbing was sparked when Anthony, who was sitting under another team’s pop up tent as it rained Wednesday morning, was asked by Metcalf to move — and Anthony refused, according to the arrest report.
Anthony then unzipped a bag, reached inside and told Metcalf, who he’d never met before, “Touch me and see what happens,” a witness told police, according to the document.

Not excusing the killer but let’s be real. Laying your hands on another person during a confrontation can be fatal. If the dead boy had gone to an adult authority and let them handle it he would be alive today.

We used to take our rifles to shop to apply wooden inlays to the stocks. Of course, we weren’t being taught to kill each other if someone bullied or “dissed” us in those days.

Back when I took ccl class they taught in Texas you are not allowed to engage in an altercation and then escalate it to deadly force. Victims actions might be the difference between murder and a lesser charge but given the depravity shown by the killer, and the county in which this will be tried, I doubt the killer will get much leniency.

Reasonable will be key and stabbing an unarmed person is not a reasonable response. BUT “they” seem to get a different standard of “reasonableness”

This story is on FNC but the msm is avoiding it, because it doesn't fit the victim/perp color pattern.

This story does seem to be getting more than usual publicity than other similar stories, which may or may not be reported locally for a day and then dropped entirely and forgotten. I’m seeing it on a lot of normie news sites, including photos of the murderer and his young victim.
You can be sure if the races were reversed, it would be 24/7 national, headline news for weeks on end.
Good thing this is Texas and not California where a judge would put the murderer into a “youth diversion program” to be released at 25 and not tried as an adult as he will be in Texas.

Because of break in in the parking lot, we would get in trouble if we left them in the truck. We were required to bring our shotguns into school and put them in our locker (if we had the long lockers) or with a coach/teacher.

What’s illegal about having a knife? Till everybody went guanopathic about “weapons”, most boys in Texas carried pocket knives.
Here comes the self defense argument. I hate to say it but the kid may have a shot at least at getting the charges reduced just because the other kid grabbed him and he’s well, black.
Our wrestling coach put gave them boxing gloves and let them duke it out.
