I am surprised by your hostility there. I did not contact you. You asked me a question, and I answered it honestly and to the best of my ability.
Perhaps I should restate my position. I now believe that school choice is the best way going forward. But it most certainly will be an experiment.
With government vouchers will come government interference, strings will be attached. That’s a given. The question is how much interference there will be. Minimal interference or crushing interference? That’s what makes it an experiment.
If you wish to politely discuss this further, I am willing. But I’m not interested in fighting over the subject.

You’re right about that. I was speaking of my own experience as a child of the ‘60s. Everyone in my neighborhood was either a child or grandchild of people from Eastern Europe. Poles, Slovaks, Hungarians (that’s me), etc.
It was at the public school that I met - and became friends with - all sorts of different people. That was good for me, good for them, and good for the country.
But as you noted, insane liberals have ruined all that. They are deliberately trying to divide us. I don’t know whether that’s due to stupidity of evilness.
Maybe it’s both.

It’s a part of big government that should not exist. The bigger the government, the more agencies = the more power the left has over us. The EPA is a prime example of the left exercising their power over the people. USAID is a prime example how the left steals our money.
Any agency that does not have a constitutional purpose needs to go. The Founding Fathers had the right idea, less government equals better government.

Oh, it did vastly improve the condition of those it was set up to deal with. The professional educational bureaucracy is much better off as is the cleptocrat class in the educational industry. Lots of union thives are far better off than they were before. Of course our students are far worse off than they were before, but the Dept of Education was never meant to help them anyway.
